This book is a compilation of letters written by Linnie Southard from Paris, France in 1959 and 1960. My family was there while my father was on temporary assignment for his job, installing a computer system for the city government of Paris. While I have added some explanatory text, the letters are, for the most part, just as my mother wrote them. They give a close and personal glimpse of an intelligent, resourceful young woman living and taking care of a family for a short time as a stranger in a strange land, and doing a heck of a good job.
