Have you ever taken a sabbatical on fatherhood? You spend years going to school. You labor to learn your job. You read books about your hobbies. But have you ever spent any time thinking about being a dad? Most of us dont. Parenting is something we ignore until we run into a crisis. By then it may be too late. This book is a series of letters on fatherhood, inspired by a young father and his new baby. Prayerfully commit to daily reading and meditation for a month, or discuss the book with a small group of dedicated fathers weekly. Use the time as a mini-sabbatical on being a dad. Then prepare yourself for God to move. God is much more anxious for us to know His will and wisdom than we are to hear it. When we dedicate the time and attention to listen, the sound of His voice can be deafening.
