After reading certain people's reviews it sadden me to see the ignorance within America. This book, just like EVERY book, is not meant for everyone. Let's not forget that author's words, such as this one, are often a reflection of their personal life and struggles that they may or may not have gotten over yet, so please review respectfully. This AMAZING book embraces a journey of love in every aspect of its physicality and emotional form. From the tales of superficial, distant, unwanted, desired, unescapable, unconditional love, heartbreak, outrage, anger, passion, and yes, confusion, to being self conscious of the religious teachings from childhood carrying over to adulthood, to the thoughts and struggles of a woman who has fought undeniably for her independence and success as a direct descendant of a Hispanic/Caribbean family who migrated to the US for a better future (something that not all of us can relate to). This book shows a great deal of what it is to be in and out of love, its heartaches, along with the best love of all, family. In short, any writer that has the ability to successfully connect with thousands of people via their written emotions and personal assessments of such, is a great writer/poet. Pros: Easy and fun to read, addicting, relatable to anyone who's ever been in love Cons: Some grammar errors (its metaphor makes sense to hispanic readers) Tips: Do not extensively read in public areas unless you're tissue ready

First off , you'll need tissues. It's a book for anyone who has been in love. I was very impressed, it has beautiful imagery in the poems and personal experiences. My favorite section has to be the end, she spoke about loving and losing but through it all having hope.

Eh, this book was ok. Not worth all the hype nor for the amount. Some of her poems are beautifully written and there are others were I feel as if I could have written them. None-the-less, I would recommend this book to a friend who is going through a heartbreak.

This book goes through all the stages of being in love and coming of age. I think everyone who has experience love should read this book. It is beautiful written. Each letter stirs emotion within the reader. I can't wait for the sequel. My favorite section is entitled "Liar" which states " He doesn't realize that every time he lies,  He's committing  suicide in front of me. He's killing everything I see in him. If only he could be honest, Because God knows I hate to watch him bleed". All of the letters relate to different phase within in love. I feel like everything including love has a beginning, middle and end. Mirtha Michelle captures it effortless. I was so impressed I ordered two copies. One for myself and another for a friend.

I highley recommend this book! It takes the reader on a roller coaster of emotions. You feel like your living these experiences with the author and by the end you find yourself cheering for her and hoping evertyhing works out well for her just like she is your family member or friend. Its a book both men & women can relate to.  The poetry throughout the book is amazing and everytime I read one of the poems I paused.....and started reflecting on experiences in my own life. Its like the author is speaking to you. I think everyone who reads it will feel that experience and its amazing & unique! I look forward to reading more work from  Mirtha Michelle Castro Marmol.

There was a plethora of grammatical and spelling errors, which made it hard to stay focused at times. Other than that, there were a few good poems and some of the others were "okay"... Not really worth the hype, in my opinion.

There's nothing special about this book. The poems are "fair" and not really worth paying $17 for. The author seems to be awkwardly confused in her life. She quotes bible verses in portions of this book and then writes a few poems that are non-Christian, derogatory and blasphemous. Would not recommend this book and it should be rated "adult" reading.

Anyone that feels like they can get their 3rd grade diary published I must applaud. Some people think just because they get something published they can now call themselves a "poet" and an "author." Beware of self proclaimed poets. This book is FAR from authentic poetry.
