In 1996 our 106 year old company was silently on the verge of bankruptcy and with the exception of Wilson Sundt, no one had an ESOP stock balance of one million dollars or more. The company not only survived that crisis, but the first employee millionaire in the ESOP occurred in 2002 and since that time, our collective efforts have produced 119 employee owners with ESOP balances of one million or more while exponentially outperforming the S&P 500.

What People are Saying About This

From the Publisher

“An excellent example of the high-value of servant leadership.”  Dr. William W. Badger, Professor Emeritus, ASU.  Author of the DNA of Leadership.

-

“This is not a ‘rags-to-riches’ story, but more ‘riches-to-rags-to-riches.’ It’s a cautionary tale about how any good company can get off track  if it strays from sound business principles. But this book shows that with the right team focusing on core values, almost anything is possible.”

Dr. Joseph T. Wells, CFE, CPA Chairman of the Board of Directors Association of Certified Fraud Examiners

An excellent example of the high-value of servant leadership where senior leaders take care of the people; the people take care of the clients; the company takes care of the industry; and ensures and in doing so increases profitability.  The more we give the more we receive.

Dr. William W. Badger, Professor Emeritus, is the former Director of the Del E Webb School of Construction at Arizona State University.  He is an active member of the National Academy of Construction, the author of the DNA of Leadership book, and a frequent presenter of leadership seminars.
