This book talks about an eigth grader who can divine - who can sense where groundwater is. His name is Sam. He later finds out that he has the power to sense if people are lying. Sam doesn't know what he will use his new powers for, but he will soon find out. After a theft and fire at his uncle's house, Sam has to solve the mystery.
