First things first, Lies in Rewind can be read as a standalone but do yourself a favor and read Love in Rewind first. I really think you need to know Emily and Louis' story before you get into Sara and William's book. With that being said, I absolutely adored Lies in Rewind. We meet Sara in Emily's book. They've been best friends since they were in diapers. Sara is Emily's adventuresome other half. She's experienced, outgoing and knows everything about everyone; or so we think. Sara's life is basically one big lie. She has dug herself so deep she doesn't know how to get out of it. She meets William (Liam) after trying to get to the bottom of his relationship or lack thereof with Emily and ends up trusting him with her most private truths. Her best friend doesn't even know the extent of her relationship with Jeffrey and they've known each other their entire lives. Liam is out to avenge his sisters death and ruin Louis Bruel's life but he doesn't really know the entire side to his sisters story. He knows what she wrote and that is all. While trying to figure out his sisters story, he becomes entranced with Sara and really doesn't want to let her go. A few things really intrigued me about Lies in Rewind. One, I am a sucker for a super steamy book. Love in Rewind gave me that. Lies in Rewind is basically the opposite. There are steamy scenes but no actual sex until the epilogue. Tali knows how to write a hot sex scene and she doesn't disappoint with it. Two, the books timeline. Sara rewinds her tale of fifteen years with her lover Jeffrey but ninety-five percent of this book takes place in one day. I loved that! It's crazy to think of all of that information being divulged in such a short amount of time. Three, THE MUSIC! Tali nailed the 80's song choices for each scene in this book; it is epic! Anyway, I'm a true believer in Tali Alexander's writing. She deserves the recognition she receives and I can see her having a bright future in this industry with her Audio Fools series.

I love these two books but wished it was left here. I was greatly disappointed by reading the excerpt from the third book and learned Sara left Liam for Jeffrey!! Don't want to read it but can't put these books down!

I really enjoyed this book!! It's mostly told from Sara's perspective who is Emily Bruel's best friend from the first book in the Audio Fools series (Love in Rewind). You get to read about what Sara was going through while her best friend was falling in love. I think it's easy to make assumptions about Sara's character when your reading Love in Rewind. But what I loved the most about Lies in Rewind was that all of your expectations and assumptions are completely shattered. The story starts right off with Sara having a really bad couple of days. But ironically it's during this struggle that she realizes that the choices she has made in her life have not turned out the way she thought they would. I think it's a pivotal point in Sara's life where she is forced to reflect upon the decisions and lies of her past in order to find happiness in her future. Because ultimately the lies that she has told herself and the people around her were hurting her the most in the end. I think that's something many of us can relate to. Doing and saying things because that's what other people expect from us. Sara is by far one of my favorite characters ever. She's not perfect, she makes mistakes, she's strong yet vulnerable. But perhaps the most admirable quality in Sara is her fierce protectiveness of the people she loves. Sara just keeps it real and I really admire that. There is one quote in particular that I think sums up Sara's journey in this book. "I choose me. I choose to love me and make sure that I will be good to me." I love this quote because I feel like this is the moment that Sara realizes that it's okay to love and respect herself despite the mistakes she might have made in the past. It's what you do with the consequences of those mistakes that defines you. I loved that the 80's songs are taken to a whole other level in this book. They blend perfectly with the story making it an unforgettable read. If you're like me and don't know half the songs referenced in the book, don't worry! You will be able to click on them in the kindle version so you can listen to them (Pretty cool right!!!). I loved that this series uses songs instead of words sometimes to express feelings. I think we truly see the power of communicating with music in the audio fools books. If you really think about it music is just another way to express yourself and your feelings.

‘Sara, she’s my choice and I need to be a good choice for her, right now. I want to be somebody’s bloody choice.’ ~Liam Minor spoilers alert!!! Cover, chapter header and break designs: ★★★★☆ Great visual design choices all around! Of special note: the song references are hyperlinked for a reader’s reference if they want to check out the music. The link will take you to the author’s website where you’ll find an iTunes buy link and an Audio Fools page that lists all the songs (on a cool cassette tape design that changes with each song title) featured in the series organized by novel. Overall, these design and graphics choices combined in a really cool way, giving the book a little extra pizzazz. Sara and Liam both pined for lovers who were married. Cheating tropes are a negative trigger for me, so I felt very conflicted about them. I continued with the Audio Fools series because I loved the quirky habit the two female best friends, Emily and Sara, had of communicating their emotional state via eighties song titles. I used to do something similar when I was their age, so I loved all the nostalgic song references. But normally, I would not eagerly read a novel with any real degree of cheating as a defining element. Sara in particular was a confusing character who projected an image of herself that was mostly a façade. Liam, motivated by revenge for his deceased sister, Isabella, sought out to destroy Louis Bruel via his wife Emily. One thing led to another and Sara and Liam met because of his returning presence in Emily’s life. Being the best friend and savvy lawyer that she is, Sara, as Emily’s best friend, equipped with her lawyer skills, decided to find out why Liam was so determined to disrupt Emily’s marriage. During the course of her investigation, she and Liam opened up to one another in an intimate setting, quickly discovering how they each had a history that led them to now have more in common than expected. But Sara’s past was still part of her present, so things don’t fall into place for these two potential lovers until much later in the story. Overall, I liked the story’s arc and felt the setting and song title references really set a good tone for fast intimacy and the beginnings of a deeper connection between Sara and Liam. The dialogue was often frank. The sexy times were hot. And the reflective inner monologue each character had was in line with information they knew at the time. There was also a suspenseful element to this story with plenty of flashbacks revealing new details about Sara’s, Liam's and Isabella's pasts. Often when I thought I knew what would happen next, I was proven wrong. The longer period of time that eventually ends the novel was another element I liked. And that ending, ack! Luckily, there won’t be a long wait for the final novel in the series. One of my favorite humorous quotes: “This is nothing compared to what Richard and I plan to do to you and kitty. Everything about you drives me mad. I reckon we may both need a good will because we may just kill each other,” he declares with a grin. Coming up next in the series is Lost in Rewind (Audio Fools, #3) with an expected e-book release date of September 1, 2016.

This story starts right after Love in Rewind, which you need to read to really understand all the brilliant characters and their relationships with one another.Sara Klein is a strong broken woman who has lived with lying all of her life and she's tired a stuck in a rut. She has been lying about her love life her experiences to her absolute best friend Emily Bruel. William Knight is a British chap who is living with the loss of his sister who committed suicide, due to a relationship with Louis Bruel. William has strong feelings for Emily and Sara tries to come to the rescue and get William to forget all about Emily. So they meet and it's a really difficult time in Sara's life and everything comes out all of her secrets and lies are told and In one day they realized that maybe life isn't over and what they really need are each other. I didn't really do a great job of describing this story this is so much more. Tail Alexander is a brilliant bird who completely catapults you into these characters they are unforgettable. I loved Sara so much she was put into such a difficult situation that it's crazy and heartbreaking but you get it you understand why she stayed in this unhealthy relationship. Will or Liam God I loved that man he was so much fun and so funny and I kinda hated him at the end of the last book but now No way he is definitely Sara's rescuer. The only issue I have is that last paragraph, really, Mrs.Alexander you better be writing because I need to know what happens.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Sara Klein has always been in love with one man. She gave him her love, her life, everything based on promises that he intended to fulfill. She's a beautiful, gifted attorney who can't see past her love for this one man. William "Liam" Knight is infatuated with Sara's best friend, Emily and hell-bent on destroying her husband, Louis. All of that changes when he finds the beautifully broken Sara. Within a few hours, he has become enamored with her and realized there's more to the story than he's been told about his beloved sister's suicide. This is the 2nd book in the Audio Fools series. I learned so much about both of these characters that when I finished I realized most of the book takes place in less than 24 hours. I could not put it down. The story had my full attention. I was very anxious to start this one after finishing the 1st book, Love in Rewind. Now I'm not so patiently waiting for the 3rd book. This book ends in a cliffhanger and all I can say is WOW! I cried with Sara and was rooting for her and Liam the whole time. When I started it, I had no idea how Ms Alexander was going to spin the tale. I loved this book and the writing was wonderful. I can't wait for the next one.

The first book in this series was about Emily and Louis. Emily had one best friend and that was Sara. Lies in Rewind was about Sara story. We get to learn more about Sara and Jeffrey's life while she tells William the handsome man Emily meet while in St. Lucia. I loved how the story progressed and the love life if Sara it was very sad at times but isn't love sad at some time. This story will pull at your heart stings. It's a awesome tale of two lost souls that find the love their both longing. Can't wait to find out what happens next and Jeffrey's story even those I'm not liking him right now. Must read series.

Didn't think it could get any better then book 1...boy was I wrong. Lies In Rewind is book 2 in the series. I didn't really care for Sara much previously but we find out SOOOOO much about her in book 2 which gives us insight as to why she is so obsessed with Jeff....!! I was totally shocked learning about JJ and that cliffhanger was crazy. Another 5 star read you definitely do NOT want to miss out on. Cannot wait for book 3 to see what happens. My fingers are crossed and I'm praying life stays as it is.
