This book is not only an easy read from a historical stance, but it is full of Wisdom and bits of witt from the World Champion. The best part of the book is that he is telling his story from self-interviewed point of view. If you play out the games in this book over the board, you will definitely learn from them.
Michael Tal was known as The Wizard From Riga. He earned that nickname because of his brilliant tactical play. This was the Soviet answer to Bobby Fischer. Unfortunately, they never played for the world's championship. But Tal's tournament record against Fischer was a good one. He beat Rapid Robert about 80% of the time! Tal won the world's championship in 1960 only to lose in in a rematch a year later. He played that second game while in poor health. Had he been healthy there is little doubt he would have held the title for many years. Within this book you will find some of the most exciting games ever played! Essentil for all serious players but the casual palyer will enjoy this one, too!
