Life Application Study Bible NIV 3.6 out of 5 based on 0 ratings. 154 reviews.

Would love to give a perfect rating because the excellent Life Application Study Bible is a disciple’s dream that includes: * detailed annotations & cross-references; * maps, graphics, tables & charts; * histories (Biblical & in context of world events) * intertestamental discussion * key personality profiles * an annual reading plan There are even harmonies of Kings & Chronicles and the four Gospels, so we can read these key books in chronological order with ease. Problem is with the e-book format. Navigating pages is haphazard, at best — whether on NOOK Color or a computer using NOOK Study. Frequently can't turn from one page to the next, instead getting stuck in an endless loop and cycling through the same pages over & over, or skipping pages completely, or refusing to follow a link (e.g., from text to annotation or back). Myriad technical glitches steal the rich functionality built into this fine study Bible, and I hope someone addresses them & releases a functional file to update all of this dramatically flawed version (without erasing all of our notes & highlights)...

Have always loved the Life Application Bible. My only complaint using the Nook for it is trying to get back to the Table of Contents.

I bought this Bible because I needed/ wanted a good study Bible. And it is a great study Bible when it works! Its really slow to load and as of thid morning it won't load at all! This is the first time I've wanted to go buy the hard copy of a book I have on my NOOKCOLOR! So as for cintent of the BIBLE I' d give it five stars. As far as an electronic book and ease of use I'd give it zero stars!

I have a 32GB iPad2 and the book will NOT open on it. App crashes. I've restarted the device, etc. to no avail. Very disappointing.

This would be more effective, and enjoyable if it was an app instead.

I have the hard copy of this Life Application NIV Study Bible and have enjoyed reading and using it for several years. The nook version is very easy to navigate and much lighter to carry around. I love it and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Bible study.

I have had the printed version for many years and love the life application notes. In the eBook version, when you touch the verse number, you are taken to the corresponding note, returning to the Bible in the same way. - Julie Sharp, Meridian, MS

I read several reviews about people having problems with random paginatiin issues-skipping pages or an endless cycle between a series of pages. The fix that barnes and noble presented seems to work power the unit off and restart. This has been a simple.fix for me. I hope it helps.others.

Most of the functions work well. Hardest are "pointing" to a chapter in a given book because of the way the indicators are aligned. Enjoy the study aides, and have had no problem openinbg the book or moving around in it. Excellent value.

Love the book, hate the navigation. Using on Samsung tablet with Android OS. Follow a link, then hit back button, takes you back to your Nook library. Search function is terrible. Save your money until they get this right.

Needs some work in getting around from one search to another

This is the only Bible I will have my Sunday School classes use. It has excellent footnotes to help them understand what the events of the time challenges were and the people involved. The maps are concise, and the glossary on where to find certain scriptures, plus the index for important people of the Bible are easy to find. It also includes how to study the entire Bible in one year. I highly recommend this NIV Study Bible for any at home study or in the classroom for new or older students at church. It helps with understanding from the beginning of the Old Testament through the New Testamnet ending with Revelation.

and I had to archive things like crazy for it to finish. (That means I've had really good use out of this Nook.) That said, it's fabulous, within the limitations of the least expensive, old (now) Nook reader. That mainly means operating in black-&-white. It opens fairly quickly, the links and transitions are fast and easy to get the hang of. And once it was firmly in place I was able to unarchive some of my favorites again. The maps and charts (again, being used on the least expensive Nook takes some catching on) are gorgeous and understandable. I've had this less than a day, and I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. Oh, and the 1/2-off sale made it better yet!

After comparing a couple of dozen bibles, narrowing the selection to a few, then looking at study bible versions; two became my top picks. Now, this is my top pick because it is easy to read, provides valuable insite to the message of the Bible, and I hope to learn and better understand the Word. I feel comfortable that I have made the right choice.

The best thing and must have in your nook is God's holy word Men
