Sueanne keeps `em in stitches but just barely manages to cover her own tears. Her parents are splitting up, her younger siblings are withdrawn, and her love for Eric remains unspoken. There's a dreamy French boy with a Porsche who yearns for her, but she only wants Eric. Naturally, she gets him in a dramatic ending, complete with warm kisses and true confessions. Some humor, lots of clothes (she dresses like Cyndi Lauper), painful family trauma. Predictable, but not bad for a fast read.
