This is the prequel to Anne Stone’s Show Me series. If you have read Life’s Second Chances then you might have an idea how this book will go. Even knowing what was coming didn’t detract from the greatness of this book. Alejandro is a doctor in Wisconsin & Tammy is a nurse working in his department. The speed of their relationship & love is almost love at first sight - probably more like love at first date - and a testament to Alejandro knowing how fast life can change. And unfortunately he will learn that again before the end of the book. There were so many happy moments in this book that made the ending that much worse. This is a short read - and my OCD prefers I tell you to read this before the first book in the Show Me series, but that’s just my preference. Others might tell you to read it in the order published. No matter what order you read it in, you will fall in love with Alejandro & Tammy and will very much enjoy following the progression of their love. **4.5 Stars - I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader copy of this book.

If you have read any of the other 3 books in this series you will be familiar with these characters, I have personly read the third book “Life's Turned Upside Down”. This is the Prequel to this series and fills in the backstory to Alejandro Alvarez life before the first 3 previously published books. But if you have not read any of this series this would be a great place to start. I had some plots and history revealed to me from reading book 3 and look forward to reading the remaining books. I total enjoyed this book that I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy and this is my honest thoughts. You will feel joy, love, sadness, compassion, loss and most of all family while ready this lovely and sweet read, you may laugh and you will most probably cry as well. The author's description of some of the place the charters go to during this book, has me wanting to see it all for myself as the countryside sounds lovely being described by the author.

This was my first book by Ms. Stone and it won’t be my last. I loved the premise of the story, I enjoyed how Alejandro and Tammy began their relationship. Following how their love developed was good (it felt a bit rushed, but knowing this is a prequel explains the speed); I was then heartbroken and shattered. I’m looking forward to reading the series. I have read two of the previous books in this series and loved them, this book was no different. We see more into Alejandro Alvarez's life before everything we know happened, happens. Tammy Johansen works in the same hospital as he does and they develop a friendship that eventually turns into love. Tammy and Alejandro have a true love that many dream of. When tragedy strikes Alejandro how does he handle it? Make sure to read Life's Forever Changed to find out. This book a was a great insight to everything that happened for him to get to the point that we have come to see him as. I loved getting to see this and learn more about the man that has not had it easy. This book was an emotional journey that is a must read. **Had the honor of reading an ARC**

What a great story! This book will make feel happy with Alejandro and Tammy as their love for each other grows. You will also feel the sorrow and loss during their lives together. This is a beautifully written love story that will stay with you for a long time. The plot and characters are well developed. I highly recommend this book, but keep a box of tissues handy!

This was a wonderful novella filled with so many great characters. Your emotions will bring you up and down. Fast moving and Will not put it down until you have finished it. Ann has me crying at the end. Looking forward to read this series. joy943

Sometimes Prequels Break Your Heart... I have read all 3 books in this series and knew going into this the ending would break my heart... I always love learning more about enjoyable characters. Thats still true. The love was amazing, the emotions real, and the tears abundant...

This novella was beautiful. The story moved quickly, but there was so much emotion. I knew what would happen, as I've read the other books on this series, but that didn't stop the tears from flowing. Well done, Anne Stone!

We finally find out what happened to Alejandro. The story was shared but reading the full story was so much better. Love is a beautiful thing and when it happens to these two it is truly beautiful. Best friends, parents, lovers that's what they were. They completed each other. The story is well written and emotional. The characters warm your heart and draw you in. This author is great at bringing us a clean read filled with all the goodies that make it enjoyable and worth the read.

Life's Forever Changed is the prequel to the other 3 books in the Show Me Series. I have read all three books in that series and there was always the question as to exactly what happened to Alejandro to make him the man that he is today. In later books we learned about his best friend dying in high school and the ultimate sadness that brings him to where he is in the other three books, but never the details about those events that shaped his life forever. It was easy to see why he became the man he is because of those two events. While I enjoyed this book and finally learning about both of the events that shaped his life, I felt the book was rushed. This book is a "novelette" and I wish the author had made this book a full length novel like the other three. If it had been full length we could have had more details and savored the two relationships that were driving this book. Those two relationships were the kind that even though there was sadness, most people would love to be able to say that had people that that in their own lives. The book was good, I just felt it could have been a lot more. I received an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

An Anne Stone novel is like an out of body experience. Hard to be ready for, but prolific all the same. Life's Forever Changed is evidence of that. Time flies by as Tammy and Alejandro illicit the feels of an unforgettable and emotional journey. Ms. Stone examines love, life and loss through the eyes of caring people and the hearts of every man. A romantic tale with a deeper message has begun. It's the insight that makes us better and this tale of hope sets out to do that on a smaller scale, but with grandiose results.

Whether this is the first book you read by this talented author, or you are a long time fan like myself, this story will touch you and make you fall in love with the author’s writing. The prequel gives us a better insight of doctor Alejandro Alvarez, whom we met in the first book of the series. We get a chance to meet Tammy Johansen, who works in the same hospital as he does. A friendship develops into a romance and marriage, but will this time is the HEA unreachable? You will feel joy for him at times, and at others , the sadness takes over and all you want to do is get into the pages so you can give him a hug and tell him you are there for him. Once again, a jewel of a story. One that will not be easily forgotten and one that will make you a fan of Ms Stone’s forever. Thank you for sharing your talent, Ms Stone. I was gifted this copy.
