This took me a bit to get into it but it really is a beautifully written tale of second chances. This writer brought out the emotions of her characters. The storyline has the total warm and fuzzy feel , even the disruptions seem to get resolved quickly. All in all you can't help but root the main characters on. I was given. A copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Sometimes life gives you an unexpected second chance, and you just have to grab a hold of it with both hands and not look back, and for Angelina Samuel's that couldn't be a truer statement. When she unexpectedly loses the job she loves, she is offered a another with only days to prepare, and she decides to jump in and take it and just have hope she is doing the right thing. Within a matter of a few days her life takes a completely different turn, and it winds up being the best experience she could have ever imagined, especially since it brings Alejandro into her life! When life hands Alejandro Alvarez a second chance and the opportunity to take a new path in life, he decides to embrace it and see where it takes him... even if it has him unexpectedly returning to his hometown. Being home again, and re-familiarizing himself with his family and friends is has truly been the best medicine for him, and it's helping him find a way to move on from the personal tragedy he has endured, and is starting to give him a new outlook on his life, and the possibility of finding love again. He never thought he'd find love again, but the minute that Angelina walks back into his life it has him reconsidering the possibilities... This was my first time reading a book by this author and I have to say it made a very good first impression, so much so, I plan to make a return visit to this series and see what she has in store for all these endearing characters. I love a good second chance love story, and this one DEFINITELY hit the mark!! The story line was very engaging, and pulled me in almost immediately, and held my attention throughout! I couldn't help but fall for these characters, their story gave me a renewed sense of hope and re-sparked belief that second chances really do come along to those who truly deserve them! Their story was brimming with heartfelt emotion, an unwavering sense of hope and had an innocent approach to romance. Overall I'd say it turned out to be a very enjoyable first read for me one that warmed my heart and provided me with a very tranquil literary escape! If you like your reads a little on the light side, and brimming with heartfelt emotion than this just might be a perfect read for you!! Highly recommend, Ms. Stone's endearing characters are sure to score a special place in your heart! ARC given in exchange for a honest and unbiased review.

Life’s Second Chances is Author Anne Stone’s debut novel in her “Show Me” series. Sometimes I just want to read a good story that pulls me in from the beginning and keeps me interested until the very end: Life’s Second Chances is just that book. Ms. Stone has crafted a sweet and engaging story that brings together two strong characters, Alejandro and Angelina, who are only seeking friendship. While they help each other overcome their personal struggles, they find that they really are searching for something more. The secondary characters in Life’s Second Chances are equally likeable, if not lovable, as are the main characters. Alejandro’s sister, Gabriella, and Angelina’s mother long for a match made in heaven for Alejandro and Angelina, but as they are trying to figure out what is going on between the two, they are not too over-the-top with their enthusiasm or commentary (I loved it!). The dialogue flows consistently letting the reader know what the characters are truly thinking and feeling. I find Ms. Stone is very descriptive with her prose which is very important as it not only gives a glimpse into what she was envisioning, but it made me feel as if I was there experiencing it myself (I find many accomplished authors sometimes fall short with being descriptive enough). Life’s Second Chances is a “clean” love story without misplaced profanity or sex; therefore, it appeals to a wide range of individuals looking for that chance to escape into a contemporary romance. This book is also a great value at over 400+ pages in a physical book and 330 pages in an e-book without promoting advertising or a coming book release. Brava, Ms. Stone on an impressive start with your debut novel; I hope you have a long and successful career. I look forward to the next book in the “Show Me” series. I give this a solid 4 stars. I believe as she hones her craft, Ms.Stone will definitely be writing 5-star novels in no time. *** I received an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review that is my own ***
