About the Author
Wesle is an artist and writer, now retired from the State Board of Education. At the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, she was the literary journal's poetry editor. Her poetry has appeared in Cheshire, Friend of Silence, All the Women Were Heroes, and Stop the Violence, and on the TV program Works in Progress. The University of Illinois at Springfield College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in conjunction with the University of Illinois Alumni Association recognized Wesle for the John Knoefple Creative Writing Award - Poetry 2008.
