Outstanding stuff from an outstanding thinker. Newbigin's exposition deserves a place next to your commentaries on John. Go to the commentaries when you need to sort through exegetical issues. Go to Newbigin when you want to catch a glimpse of the gospel writer's heart. But don't be fooled; this isn't shallow stuff. It's meatier than many a commentary!
