Overview

Lights, Camera..Travel!: On-the-Road Tales from Screen Storytellers by Alec Baldwin, Bruce Beresford, Sandra Bernhard, Richard E Grant

Lonely Planet: The world's leading travel guide publisher*

Since the ancient Greeks, actor's have been society's storytellers. And ever since Hollywood first left the backlot, these storytellers have been traveling to far-flung corners of the world to tell those tales. We decided to ask some of the most widely traveled people in the film industry to sit down and tell us their own stories - personal, inspiring, funny, embarrassing and human experiences from their time on the road.

Lights, Camera ... Travel! includes 33 stories from screen stars including Alec Baldwin, Brooke Shields, Rolf de Heer, Paul Cox, Neil LaBute, Richard E Grant, Sandra Bernhard and Bruce Beresford. Edited by Andrew McCarthy and Don George

This does not have the names listed on the cover. There is no Johnny Depp for instance. There is more missing as well.

Like reading a People magazine; the title promises much more than the prose delivers

Enjoyed all the short stories by people in the entertainment industry who travel, both for work and pleasure. Wanted to take a trip after reading this book!

This is a good book for people who like to read in small amounts of time. I am more the devour the book type, so I did read it but in small moments. Some stories more interesting than others, and I must admit I never heard of many of the storytellers.

Some of the stories were interesting and well-written, but the majority I found to be pretentious, and not very well-written. Overall, I would not recommend this book unless you have a star-crush on one of the storytellers and just want to read something they wrote.
