Overview

Like a Butterfly is a story about a young girl named Sasha, learning how to use her wings. After discovering she and her dad both share a love for dancing, Sasha seeks the help of her mother, members from her community, and you, the reader to help her plan a party for him. Sasha misses her dad and hopes that by planning this party she will be able to see him again. But she doesn't realize her community is also planning something special just for her.

Phallon Perry is a writer of children's books, short stories, and poetry. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from Northwestern University. She also attended Indiana University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and International Studies. She is from Baltimore, MD and she is most passionate about telling the story of those who are often underrepresented or misrepresented in literature.

Autumn Perry is a five year old budding author and illustrator. Since the age of two, Autumn has been helping her mother write children's books. Autumn enjoys rock collecting, bird watching, and visiting her local science museum. She prides herself on being a super smart girl, a great friend, and a fast runner. She aspires to be a queen and a paleontologist when she is older.
