It’s been two years since 51-year-old Melodie Farmer, devoted Christian wife and
mother, died from a sudden heart attack, but a mystery still remains. Why, a decade before her death, did she withdraw from life, leaving her husband and youngest child in despair? In search of an answer, Melodie’s husband Martin and her daughter Lillie read her diary and discover a secret that offers healing for the Farmer family…but threatens to destroy the church and community all of them love.
Rev. Lydia Meyer explores the effects of sexual abuse in a spiritual context and its far-reaching impact on not only the victims themselves, but the families, friends, and communities in which they reside. But she does it in a form seldom used to address unspeakable deeds--in the context of an unlikely love story--and opens the door for honest dialogue and a chance for healing and redemption.

I met the author of this book at a recent craft fair in Illinois while promoting her book. I mentioned that I had a Nook and she said the book was available on the Nook. That evening I read the sample and was hooked! This was a great book. I would recommend it. Very spiritual and thought-provoking subject matter.
