Link-Up Paint-doku by Conceptis Puzzles

Conceptis has done it again—proving it still rules as the world’s leading developer of picture-logic puzzles. Link-Up Paint-doku offers a new way to train the brain and have fun too. Simply connect pairs of like numbers with a path that uses the same number of squares and shade them in; so two 2’s next to each other can be colored in right away. But rather than using a plain pencil, pick up one of the six colored ones we’ve included and color the path to match the numbers. Suddenly, leaps of logic become artistic leaps, as a multi-hued picture emerges, perfect for showing off your puzzle skills. Each teaser tests your mental mettle with the promise of a visual treat at the end.

This is a great puzzle book that leans toward the challenging side. If you like pixel puzzles, these puzzles are very similar and can be a little more difficult. There are excellent instructions and pointers in the introduction, and a definite learning curve if you've never done these types of puzzles before. The finished pictures can be "chunky" and aren't always easy to see, but it's the challenge of completing the puzzle that's important anyway. This same publisher makes a paint-duko book similar to this one that used colored pencils and is a little easier. I recommend this book for anyone who likes pixel type puzzles!

Something a little different in the same vein as other puzzle type books with the addition of colored pencils, which come with the book. Fun and easy to pick up in a waiting room, on a plane etc.
