Upon receiving this last book in Tamora Pierce's fabulous Song of the Lioness quartet, I must admit I was worried. Okay, not truly worried, but nervous that Pierce wouldn't be able to address my many questions and thoughts properly in this last book. Then I noticed the book was over 400 pages and I knew Pierce had given herself plenty of space to discuss each facet of Alanna's story in the detail it deserved. I was not disappointed - shame on me for even doubting. Alanna of Trebond, the only female Knight of Tortall, has achieved her dream. She has gained her knights shield, she has had numerous adventures, and her fame with sword and magic have spread all over the country. I just loved it when everyone is talking about how the little girls in the streets play "Alanna and Duke Roger!" Let's hear it for female role models! But her Gift keeps warning her that all is not right with her friends in beloved Tortall. In order to save Tortall from dissension and sorcery, Alanna must obtain the Jewel of Dominion, the one thing that, if used wisely, can have great power for good. Several of Alanna's old enemies resurface (ones I had thought were gone for good) are they prove to be more deadly and conniving than ever and it will take everything Alanna and her friends have to combat these old foes. Alanna's faithful friends are never far from the action including the much changed Prince Jonathan, Myles (her adopted father), gruff Coram, her cat Faithful, and of course the lovable George. She is even joined on this adventure by some new faces - a Shang warrior and an outcast princess - who brought additional depth to Alanna's character. I was so pleased with Alanna's choices in this book - she truly proves herself to be a strong woman and a knight and I couldn't have enjoyed reading her story more. Seemichelleread.blogspot.com

This series is the series that started it all for me! I hated reading up to the sixth grade and that's when i started readin a little, but it wasn't until the seventh, when my friend brought the first book, Alanna, to school and let me borrow it, that i fell in love with reading. I had to finish the series, and then i had to read the other series by Tamora Pierce, which are also very awesome. They are all a mix of romance and adventure and they never get boring. I'm almost a junior now and i still love these books! They are definitely a must read!

Absolutely the most amazing series of books ever. These books are what got me into reading. Way before Harry Potter came out. I loved every single book especially the last one because I loved George! Wouldn't recommend it to younger girls if they havent had the birds and the bees talk yet. (its in no way explicit, dont worry about that!) But I read it in 5th grade I think and its still my favorite book and series and it really shows that girls or young women can empower themselves and achieve whatever they set out to achieve. Cant wait until the rest of the Bekka Cooper series comes out!

the titles says it all! this whole series was great. Out of all the series I have read (which is all of them so far) I like this one the best. It has the perfect balance of action and love in it, which is my favorite kind of book. Definately recommended to anyone who loves adventure and romance.

I really whole this whole series. I still have to read the last one though. One thing that I really didn't like about this book was how Jon and Alanna broke up. It made me really mad. But otherwise I love these books and I will read all of the other books that Tamora Pierce has written. Go Alanna!!

This book was a spectacular finish to the SONG OF THE LIONESS quartet. True, it was definetly not as good as the first two, and about the same as the third (which was also rather dull), but the plot sure thickened plenty! Yah, Alanna should have figured out a lot sooner who Thom raised from the dead, but it was still exciting!!! And the quest for the Dominion Jewel was well balanced with the time back at Corus. All in all, A GREAT READ!!!

Honestly I really liked this book, probably one of the best books I've read. There was action, love, and secrecy. Why can't all boooks be like this?

I'm 15 nearing 16 years old and I began reading Tamora Pierce books when I was in 4th grade. I've never been disappointed with her books and I've read them all about nine times over, so they are highly recommended by me to anyone who likes a good fantasy!

Lioness Rampant is one of the best books there is. Alanna searches for the dominion jewel to help her prince who she refuses to marry. This is one of the best books of the Song of the Lioness Series. When I first read Alanna the first adventure, I fell in love with the series and followed Alanna from a child of ten to a grown woman. This series is one of the best there is. Lioness Rampant is Alanna's last adventure. If you enjoy a book with lots of adventure, magic and love, read this book.

I thought that this book showed TP at her best! She is an amazing writer! I love who she has Alanna get married to and how she ties every else with other people (HINT HINT) I love how in the rest of tortall books you see a little of everyone else that you already have read about! READ IT!

This was an amazing book, and a wonderful ending to the Song of the Lioness quartet. I toast Tamora Pierce to this one. The only part I didn't like is that two characters I loved die. However, this is balanced nicely with the fact Alanna marries someone nice, who's name I shall not say so I don't ruin the surprise. Please but this book, and make sure you get a hardcover, for you are going to read this book so many times, a paperback is not going to hold up for a long time. Trust me. My copy is paperback and it is reduced to little scraps of paper. I hope to get the hardcover for my birth day to replace it. Please listen and BUY THIS BOOK!!!!

I have read all the Tamora Pierce books over and over again but this one is the best. I love how Alanna takes on the boys and becomes a knight through everything else she has to deal with. I am so excited that a new book about Alanna's daughter has come out. I found Tamora Pierce books by accident. I have thanked my aunt over and over again for sending me that book for my birthday. Anyone who can read should read this book and will definetly enjoy it.

If you've read the first three books in this SUPERB quartet, then waste NO TIME reading this one. IF you've read the first three, you probably read this one IMMEDIATELY after reading WWRLAM. (Woman who rides like a man) In this one, the relationships you thought you could predict take a SHARP turn, and the way you THOUGHT you knew Tortall is changed forever. All thanks to one Liam Ironarm and his good friend, Alanna. Jon is back, and a much better person than he had been. George, the big brother figure to our lioness, is back, and more assuring and sweet than ever. All your favorite villans are back (if you didn't figure it out yet, Ralon became the Claw, that's important to know). If you're anything like me, you'll keep this book FOREVER AND EVER. It's a REAL tear jerker, but BY FAR the best in the quartet. I reccomend picking up this and a box of kleenex at your local mall TODAY.

This book was amazing, as were the first three in the Song of the Lioness series. I love books that you want to read over and over again, and this is sure one of them. You get so attatched to the characters in the book as if you know them yourself. I love books like that too. I haven't read the other series' yet, but I hope to start them soon. Highly reccomended.

You don't need to read this reveiw cause if you already read the first 3 books then you would know that this one will be just as great as the rest! And if you haven't read the others then you better hurry and get to the nearest book store and buy it! You are definetly missing out on a big must have and I'm surprised that this book isn't as popular as the Harry Potter series. My friend recommended this book to me and her name is Alanna and she has an amazing gift with horses. It's scary. So go out, buy the book, and enjoy the last book of the series.

I loved this book....it had a fast-paced plot; true....and some of it WAS unbelievable. I was happy with the relationship Alanna finally decided to pursue. ^_^ I happen to have a strong liking for the man she accepted in the end. I also was close to tears....poor Alanna, losing so many dear to her....but the ending was satisfying and left me begging for more. It was good to see her again in the next series, the Immortals. I think this book, and In the Hand of the Goddess, score as my favorites of all the books Tamora Pierce has written.

I thought that this book was awesome! I was very happy to find out that they followed up with the Shang Warriors! After reading the third book I had thought to myself, the last will probably be boring considering that the only thing left to resolve was who she would marry. BOY WAS I WRONG! I am very impressed by Tamora Pierce's ability to write such amazing books that have the ability to keep you on the edge of your seat! And I still say this after having read them 6 times!

I read this series back when I was a young teen, and loved it then. Then I ran across them in a bookstore recently, and I had to buy them. A great story about a girl who knows what she wants and goes for it, even though she hates misleading her friends.
