I was given this book as a gift and with an apology. The gift was from a good friend and the apology was because I am a guy and this was described as a 'girly' book. Well, balderdash! LIT FROM WITHIN is a beautful book, with specific lessons and advice for women, but with basic insights and revelations that are perfect for anyone struggling with the issues of self acceptance, self worth and self love. It is a wonderful book, a gem, a treasure, whose chapters are short enough to pick up and feast on in those few minutes between appointments, or just before you go out for the night or in moment of spiritual doubt or crisis. Congratulations VICTORIA MORAN!
This book will relate to all women, it is insprirational.
I wish a had a book like this when I was in my early twenties -- something that could have enlightened me then that "Beauty is not your body. Beauty is your life." Ms. Moran writes as if a wonderfully wise grandmother is sitting next to me and assuring me that my physical attributes has much less a reflection of my beautiful soul. The book is a warm laid-back companion for those periodical insecure days.
I love this book. Victoria Moran has a way of expressing what I'm thinking inside so that it makes sense. I first bought and read this book weeks ago, and then happened to catch her on Oprah on July 26, and am inspired all over again.
Great for first timers in a world of semi-new agey mixed feel of yogaism, serenity, and wispy touch of life experience thrown in...
