The third single taken from the breakthrough Nevermind, "Lithium" is firmly in the Nirvana tradition of anthemic, singalong chronicles of teen disaffection and alienation.

'Lithium' is a brilliant song and one of the few songs of the best songs of the best album of the last decade! so why put two (or three) totally unimportant songs on the single? Why not put a couple of other really good songs of 'Incesticide'? like sliver, or Dive?
great single but, steven, i'd like to say curmudgeon is an awesome song just as good as lithium
To Steven Brash (email@example.com): Lithium is a brilliant song, but the b-sides are quite important. First, why include songs on a single that have already been released on single? Both ''Sliver'' & ''Dive'' were previously released as singles. Besides, you can go buy Incesticide if you want those songs. The live version of ''Been a Son'' is very good as well, and is quite deserving of being on the Lithium single. And why not have a brand-new studio track like ''Curmudgeon'' rather than some recycled album material availible elsewhere?
