All the funny words and sounds in this book, as well as the rhythmic pacing, lead this to be a fun book to read to my daughter. She laughed with me at my mis-pronunciations, and she really got into the rhythm as well. Though it wasn't really short, I got through it pretty quickly because of everything kinda flowing off of the tongue. My complaints with this book stem from some of the monsters (the monster who is fat because he eats too much but has forgotten that it's his fault as he drinks another chocolate malt; some of the other personalities as well)--I felt like they delved too much into topics and "lessons" that either aren't appropriate for a 3.5 year old or that I don't agree with. So once all of that is taken into account, it's an ok book. Not a great one, not awful. Just kinda meh.

Little Monster dreams his way through a series of poems his dad reads to him about different monsters. He progresses from one to another until he¿s asleep at the end. The poems are mostly rhyming couplets.
