Pink was the runt of the pig litter. He was so small that the Kerby family didn't think he would survive—so they brought him into the house where he met Tink, a new dachshund mom. When Tink saw Pink, she immediately adopted him into her family, and helped nurse him back to health. Pink thrived in his new family: the puppies didn't mind that Pink looked nothing like them—he was just their size.

This remarkable story has already garnered a great deal of media attention: the irresistible photographs documenting Pink and Tink's relationship have appeared on Good Morning America and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Readers of all ages will be captivated by these adorable animals and the amazing bond that they share.

"Little Pink Pup" is a delightful tale of a pig who is the runt of his litter and his subsequent adoption into a Dachshund "family." All of the photos included in this book are amazing; they're sure to attract and keep the attention of children. Aesthetically, aside from the pictures, the book itself isn't very "pretty" but I think the story is captivating enough to keep kids enthralled. The book offers a good blend of realism and whimsy.

A very sweet true story about the runt of a piglet litter being raised by a dachsund. I read this aloud to two groups of 2nd graders and they LOVED it! The text is very easy (a cinch for a 2nd grader to read on his/her own) and the pictures are clearly family photos, but it's a sweet story about accepting someone into one's family despite his/her differences.Recommended.

I love the picture of TInk an Pink at the very back of the book. TInk looks like such a proud mama! She actually looks like she's smiling. It pulls on my heartstrings.
