Little Things Long Remembered is a really wonderful book, full of ideas on how to make you child feel special. The ideas help parents come up with both big and small actions that help make kids feel connected and loved. Some can be used to make traditions for your family, some can just be special surprises, and many help make everyday moments filled with attentiveness and love. I really liked how varied the ideas were, and there are so many, so that if some do not fit your family’s style there are still so many to take away from the book. I think this is a great book for families, you can really find some great ideas of how to have fun with your kids and to make them have really wonderful memories and traditions they can keep with themselves forever. I received a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

This is a cute short story, not really a story more a list of great ideas that every family, parent, or grandparent should check out for their children/grandchildren.    I always pride myself on being involved with my child, making time for them, and being their biggest supporter.   This book opened my eyes to things I may have missed and things I should try.  I loved all the great suggestions that are appropriate for younger children and for older children.   I found this an easy book to page through and pick up implement ideas with my family.    I am sure many great memories will be made with my family thanks to Little Things Long Remembered.    Susan Newman, PhD wrote a great resource to first time parents or larger families.   There is something in here for every income, most of the ideas are free or extremely low cost.   There is also something for every family based on their interests and capabilities.

Great book for every parent! A quick, easy read that provides ideas to helping your child feel special everyday. As a stay at home mom, I spend a lot of time with my 3 year old and I still found helpful advice. I already do many of the things in this book, since I am fortunate to stay home with him, however, I don't do everything exactly as the book suggested so it gave me great alternative ideas. The book doesn't focus on a specific age group, which is great because it can grow with your child. I agree with another reviewer that this would make a great gift at a baby shower for first time parents. Definitely worth reading. I received a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

I LOVED this book! Although most of the ideas mentioned in this book are geared toward younger children, many of the ideas are things that you can still do with teenagers. I loved the idea of categorizing special things you can do with your children according to time available, time of the day or week, and occasion because it makes it easy to find suggestions that you have either time to do or it's special for the occasion. Now more than ever, I am cherishing the memories that I have made with my children. I can see the sparkle in their eye when they remember the fun things we did, or maybe just the ordinary rituals. If I had this book while they were growing up, it would have made it so much easier to make even more special memories. I was a stay-at-home mom and so felt like I had all the time in the world to make my children feel special, but sometimes moms get in a rut and don't always appreciate their children. This is a great reminder that you can use every single day to help remind your children how very special they are. Even though my children are older, I have still found many helpful suggestions in this book to make them feel special and to help them have wonderful memories of growing up. I would highly recommend this book to every single parent out there who still has children at home, and maybe to all grandparents as well. Children grow up in the blink of an eye, and finding ways to make sure they know that they are special and loved is the most important thing we can do. I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Such adorable ways to show a child you care. I am a stay at home mom and already do so many of these ideas already. I wanted the relationship that I didn't have growing up. It put a smile on face as read through the ideas and thought of the many smiles that my daughter and I have shared. There are a few other suggestions that I am going to incorporate into my everyday fun with my daughter. I hope that people who do read this will take the 5 minutes to show your child that extra love. I know it has been great to make my daughter smile in so many different ways then the normal. **I received a free copy for an honest review**
