I like the book because of the way that Spike had the eyes for Buffy. I liked that in this one book they both got along with each other and did not fight all of the time. But on Buffy's part she should not have wated so long for the pain to subside. I also liked that they had and very weird type of monster to kill. They were very small and the killed people. I thought that it was a nice touch for them to find Xander and take him away so they could try to bring in Anya for the kill.

This was the FIRST Buffy book I had ever read. It's a good book to start with if you've just started read Buffy. It's very short. I read it in a day. It's funny, quirky, and has some action in it. This reason I rate in 3 stars is because it should of been a longer book with a better plot. In other words, it could have been better.

This book was ok it was funny how buffy had to deal with spike and then the tooth she had too much in her hand plus she didn't have that much money this book was like the child of the hunt but a little more child like story. Oh this is a must have for spike fans.

I really liked the story in the book but a lot of it was inacurate when placed against the series. For one they had Anya's last name wrong and also at the time the book took place Spike was deinvited to the Summers house so it doesnt make sense that he was there. Still I liked the book and would recommend it to people who like the show.

I totally loved this book. As soon as I bought it I started reading it and I loved it so much that I had to read it all over again. I would really recommend this book. It's one of those books that you can never put down. My compliments to the writer. READ THIS BOOK!!!!

Someone should've reminded me of the old "Never Judge a Book by its Cover" adage when I was breezing by the BTVS books on my way to leave the bookstore. Just because Spike graces the cover of this novel, don't assume that the story is Spike-centric. In fact, Spike is a supporting character, at best, and was not the focus of the A, B, or C storyline. Otherwise, and despite the lack of character progression (which I wasn't expecting anyway), I really enjoyed this book. It was an easy read, and it's something that would probably make for a good story on the show. Vampire faires have come to Sunnydale, and their numbers are unknown. That, including their agility and size, make it difficult for the Slayer and Co. to figure out how to eliminate these vamps. It becomes especially hard since Buffy has a toothache and can't afford to go to the dentist. All of this leads to the Scooby gang coming up with innovative ways to attack this new breed of demon, which also has a score to settle. More Spike, and it would've been a Five star-er. They need to take cover photos more seriously.

Sometimes we forget that buffy is only human and has all the same problems that we do...here is a story very warm, and cuddly however little things can get you...if you don't watch out...mmm
