"Little Wars, a game for boys from twelve years of age to one hundred and fifty and for that more intelligent sort of girls who like boys' games and book," is the description of this book in the author's opinion. It is a collection of rules for playing with toy soldiers created by H. G. Wells and his friends. Beyond the rules, it has a chapter dedicated to the description of a battle using the rules, and also a comparison with Krigspiel, a popular war game played by the military of that time.
