About the Author

Ken is the creator of Hanapua (The Hawaii flower card game) and is also a songwriter/singer - his debut album entitled: More Hawaiian Than Me. He is also a general contractor specializing in house moving and is a certified nurseryman specializing in cycads. He once grew Maile and Hapuu commercially and got the idea of this book in 1983 as he was building his own pahoehoe rock wall at his home in Puna.
