Kinda short but overall still a good read.

This was a very typical read from this author. I felt like too many edits made this book not flow as smoothly as others. I do go to this author when I need a light hearted giggle or two.

amateur-sleuth, women-sleuths, australia, cozy-mystery, pets, murder, attempted-murder, humor, law-enforcement Read on August 09, 2016 What fun! Of course I know that murder is no laughing matter, but there is so much situational humor here. There is the exotic landlady and the cat who talks to her, the Tarot-reading roomer with significant OCD, the events at the vet office, the mixup regarding a dog to be washed, the madness over a silent alarm, and so much more! Like most of us who live on the other side of the equator, I know very little about time-distance of locations in Australia, but this story takes pity on us and makes things simple and very understandable. The publisher's blurb gives the basics, and there are no spoilers here, just watch out for the plot twists. Great author and a gifted new series!

Great New Series! This is a great book; this is the first book in the Australian Amateur Sleuth series by Morgana Best. Sybil Potts is recently divorced, she moves to Little Tatterford, and small town in Australia. The first day she arrives they find another boarder who has been killed. When Sybil narrowly misses becoming the next victim, she decides to put her sleuthing skills to work to find the killer before she is next. If you are looking for a great mystery that will keep you guessing until the end, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
