Back in 2012, as a 22 year-old, Julian D. Howard became an author. As an alumnus and through his education at the prestigious Bellarmine College Preparatory High School in San Jose, California and the University of Wisconsin-Madison he set out to create a scholarship fund to help inspire the African-American students of Bellarmine College Preparatory's African-American Student Union. Through all net proceeds of his debut book, A Tradition of Excellence: The History of Bellarmine College Preparatory's African-American Student Union, he is now able to aid college bound club members. This is his second book, but more importantly his second philanthropic venture using literature as his change agent.
