This is an impressive books. I just picked it up this morning and can not put it down. I have been out of work for the past 8 months and my life has changed in many ways. I have some major decisions to make. After reading only the first three chapters, I am beginning to feel like I am back in control and understand how to move forwards. I can't wait to apply the model to my circumstances. The authors have really opened my eyes.

A Unique and Life Changing Resource This is a great book. It is packed with insightful discussions and useful examples. The Cobbs have done an exceptional job of clearly showing how responding versus reacting to major life circumstances can result in better choices. The Life Enrichment Model helps you think through all of your options. It also sheds light on some interesting aspects of being human. This is a well-written book. I would recommend it.

In "Living a Richer Life: Getting the Most out of Life's Gifts and Circumstances", Dr. Charlotte Grant-Cobb and her husband Earl Cobb have teamed up and written what I would consider a master piece. The message is well researched, entertaining and very timely. They have leveraged their fascinating life experiences, the tireless effort they expended over 10 years to chronicle their life's "ups and downs" and some profound wisdom to skillfully craft a book which seems to demystify the teachings of Socrates, Maslow and Freud. The book brings the practicality and usefulness of these teachings into the modern consciousness and crowded lives of 21st Century Americans---like me. Also, to do this within the bounds of only 235 pages is simply amazing. They do a great job of articulating a 'view of life' and a 'level of consciousness' that they believe to be the "elixir" that has fueled their 30 years of "gliding through life" together. The writing style is simple yet effective. The personal stories they share are touching and candid. The "Life Enrichment Model" they introduce and discuss seems to have a lot of utility and is quite novel. I plan to share "Living a Richer Life" book with my husband, my teenage son and my mother. Good stuff!

The book completely changed my self-awareness of difficult circumstances and gave me a new insight into my ability to respond to them.

I have read many self-improvement books but this is over-the-top. The journey that the Cobb's share with us is what many of us need to hear but is seldom shared. The message in all the chapters is crisp and current. I particularly like how they used the Archetypes to aid in enhancing perspective and highlight the societal influences that are "so" powerful and we do not even realize. I really love the personal narratives in part III. The entire book is very well done. I plan to share it with my husband and my teenage kids. This was a real surprise!

After spending ten minutes with this book I was just thrilled at the message and the insights. I can't wait to finish it and share with my wife. The personal narratives in part 3 of the book are well written and so touching. Can't wait to apply the Life Enrichment Model to my next encounter with a major life circumstance. This is an original treasure!

I purchased the book to gain another perspective on life in general and how to get more out of my life. I was not disappointed. The book is just “packed” with insightful and practical views on what it takes to live a life that is full of true “richness” in the 21st century. It convinced me of the importance of self-awareness, perspective, consciousness and family in my life. The discussion and inclusion of the Life Enrichment Model is just a plus. The book is very well written….very entertaining…very helpful. I do recommend it for young and old.

I finally got my hand on a copy from another site. Not sure why B&N is having problems shipping this book. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised. I never thought of circumstances in this fashion and certainly never thought how powerful the idea of responding vs. reacting could be. I must finish the book, but to this point I can say that the message being provided is extremely practical and I am learning a lot about myself as well as what a richer life really is.

I finished the book last week and I am still thinking about the stories from the Cobb's chronicle. They stories are very well written and quite candid. They also provide excellent examples of how to apply the Life Enrichment Model and tackle life changing circumstances. I used the Model last week and it really helped to truly understand and gain a complete perspective of a difficult situation and how to make the best decisions. This is a great book and a new innovation approach to being your best!

I found LIVING A RICHER LIFE to be more than an insightful and educational experience. It is quite enlightening, inspirational and an excellent read. The “tool” that the Cobbs have documented within the book is exceptional.  They call it “the Life Enrichment Model”. I think they should have called it “a common sense guide for those who need specific instructions on how to think through life’s most challenging circumstances”. I have shared the book with many others and recommend it to everyone who wants to live a richer, more meaningful life.
