(Ack! Typed the entire chapter and it didn't post! This is the rewrite. Thank you for posting on the prologue.) "Ellen! Pay attention!" the art teacher shouts. I jump, startled. A few kids in our class snicker, and I blush, embarrased."Now then, here are the permmision forms for the field trip to the art gallery. Please have your parents sign them and bring them back." the art teacher says. She hands them out and I study it. The bell rings and I shove the form into my pocket. I leave the classroom and head for Science. I thought I saw a face out a window, but shook it off. After all, how could someone stare at me through a window on the fifth floor?—–—–—"Class, please pick a partne for the gallery trip." the art teacher says. I sigh and look around. No canidates to my approval. I notice a blonde-haried girl comes over and sits by me."My name is Mary." she says."You wanna be partners?" Mary asks."Sure, why not?" I answer, smiling. We find a spot in the middle of the bus, and talk until the bus starts."Are you new?" Mary asks. I nod and say,"Yeah. I don't have many friends here." Mary gives me a sympathetic look."We can be friends, if you'd like." Mary says quietly."Ok." I say and Mary grins."Its agreed then!"---- I sigh and tune out Mary while she talks about art."You may explore the gallery while I sign us in and wait for the tour. Stay with your partner and keep your eyes and ears open." the teacher says and I walk with Mary into the gallery. I continue to tune her out and and study a painting called Worry. It was a creepy looking eye in a crimson background. "Scary..." Mary murmurs. I nod and shiver a bit."I heard we're getting an assignent. Want to split up and take notes?" Mary asks."Sounds good." I reply and we split off into different directions. I notice a headless mannequin wearing a red prom style dress."Pretty," I note, and move on. I see a painting called The Gallery. It looked so real. Like I could step in. I looked around to make sure no one was there, and reached to touch it.Upon touching it, it felt weird, like clay."What the-" I exclaim, feeling like I was being pulled through it. It felt like being pulled through Jell-O. There was a flash of light, then everything went black.—–—–—– The first thing I saw when I woke up was a green ceiling. I jumped up, and a sharp blast of pain when through my leg, causing me to fall."Ack! I broke my ankle," I mutter. I stand up carefully this time, and looked around. Theres a small table with a nearby crutch. I hobble over to the crutch and grab it."Just my size." I say happily, and look at the contents on the table. There was a small vase with a black rose, healthy as ever. There was a card that read,"You'll need the rose to get out." I gently grabbed the rose, wary of thorns, and read the rest of it."To get out, you'll need to fight red and blue women, cross a bridge of color in darkness, break stone, and explore anothers persons mind." I stuffed it in my pocket for future reference and started iut through the place I was in...(Thats the first chapter! Can you post a coment? Please? –MushyMushroom)
