I loved the book, 'The Living Blood'! Tannarive Due, is one of the few Black writers of our time that portray Black Men in a positive light. It gave me great pleasure and joy to see a Black family triumph and come together, after having gone through so much pain. My favorite character, 'Dawit', finally got the love and family he wanted after feeling alone for hundreds of years. This book should be on every book shelf in the homes of serious Black readers. Tannarive Due is my favorite living author of today!

I can't tell you how many times I almost missed my stop on the train because of this book. I couldn't put it down and I had to share this book, along with The Good House, with fellow readers in my office!! Great, riveting storyline and very well written! Enjoy!!!

Needless to say, Due has done it again, wrote an amazing, heart stopping book. This book is one you won't be able to put down. The perfect follow up to 'My Soul To Keep'. I loved it!

Couldn't put this book down. Excellent reading from beginning to end. Can't wait to read the first book that started it all.

This was an excellent, extremely well written sequel to 'My Soul to Keep'. Ms. Due's writing ability seems to have grown tremendously. The characters and settings are superbly described in a manner that is vivid yet doesn't slow the reader the down. Very exciting and thought provoking and also romantic. I recommend it to readers of sci-fi, romance, and African American literature.

I've just recently completed this book, and I must say, it is a definite page turner. Most African-Americans usually don't write about sci-fi or fantasy, they usually harp on the past, including slavery and other hardships that we've gone through. However, it was refreshing to see Ms.Due broaden the standards of African-American writing. I hope to see more of this in the future from other black novelists.

The Living Blood is a page turner. Ms. Due has a creatively brilliant mind. The characters were so developed you began to feel that you know them. The story takes you from Africa to Florida with much suspense! By the end of the end of the book you'll want an injection of the life blood (smile). Read and enjoy.

I thought this novel was an excellent follow-up to My Soul to Keep. The storyline was very intriguing and full of suspense. I thought the chacracters were well developed and that it was an excellent storyline balancing the delicate line between good and evil. I am not a science fiction fan so this book has encouraged me to seek out other fantasy/sci fi authors. I read this book in four days despite the length and was highly disappointed when it was over. I can't wait until her next novel.

This sequel to MY SOUL TO KEEP was just truely powerful. Tananarive Due takes her books and story telling to a different level. Excellent reading, excellent characters, and terrific plot. I am from the Miami area and I just felt as if I was home. This is a MUST READ.

Tananarive Due's sequel to the supernatural suspense thriller MY SOUL TO KEEP is compelling. The plot is complex and exhilarating and the characters seem to be made of flesh and blood. Once again, Due has delivered the goods.
