I have recently read this book and I really really enjoyed it. I am not a big reader but this book I could not seem to put down. The point of view through the whole book is told through Dot. She tells of all the hard times she had to go through just to play a sport, because during this time girls softball was not common at all. The dreams and goals Dot has for herself are almost overwhelming but in the same sence they all seem to come true.
