This book is aimed at primary school aged children. It explains, simply, some of the day to day running of a small alpaca farm in Devon. Older children will discover farming of a different kind with this gentle introduction to farming of a less familiar livestock.
Children are sure to be fascinated by these intriguing little animals.
"A well written and informative book on Alpaca farming in Devon. Hopefully this will inspire a future generation of Alpaca farmers."

"Our children have really enjoyed learning about alpacas from 'Living with Alpacas' and it fired their imagination so that they asked lots of questions - luckily the book answered most of them as we read on! It is an interesting book on its own but can also be used in the classroom to support pupils' learning."

This is a good book if you want a high overview of alpaca care. It has lots of good pictures which makes it easy for kids to read and get an idea about alpacas, their terminology associated with them and their general care. For someone really just starting out with alpacas i would highly recommend Marty McGee's "The Camelid Companion" which goes into much more detail on the care and training of alpacas and llamas.
