Loved the book. As a veteran it really touched home for me. As an injured Veteran it really was nice hear someone struggled also. That you may be down but not forever and you find that strength in family. Thank you Noah!

This story moved me to tears, stirred my thoughts, made me smile, and really opened my eyes to what life is like for soldiers returning home and the struggles they deal with. Noah has faced far more in his life than one person should have to, and it was uplifting and inspiring to see him never let it defeat him, if anything it only made him stronger. He is a truly a remarkable man, with a very courageous spirit, and true example of an American hero! I watched him on Dancing With The Stars and American Grit, and often said he should write and book, because I knew it would be a very inspiring read and I have to say it truly exceeded all of my expectations and left me in complete awe! Reading his inspiring story was a very memorable experience for me, one I know that will linger with me for a very long time! Highly recommend you pick up this book, it is a remarkable story of resilience and a true testament to the unwavering strength of the human spirit! Living with No Excuses is an inspiring autobiography by Noah Galloway. He reveals his experiences with being a solider, being injured by enemy explosives and working to recover from two amputations and other injuries and then afterwards dedicating himself to fitness, ran marathons and implemented a new lifestyle. But the book is more than just about the physical challenges, he tells the highs and lows, from his son's health problems at birth, divorce and fighting depression to being a father to his children, meeting the President and being on Dancing with the Stars. His efforts and energy to encourage others to persevere is my favorite theme. This book is about the Boy Next Door that becomes our American Hero.

I first saw Noah on Dancing with the Stars. I was really impressed at how he didn’t let anything hold him back. I’ve seen a few videos and interviews after that and upon hearing about his book I anxiously awaited its arrival. The book is very inspirational but what I loved about it even more is that Noah tells his whole story, the good, the bad, his triumphs and his failures. I love how even though life got unbearably tough to handle, he overcame and used his experiences to continue to be a better person, not just for him, but for his children. So many people struggle, and hold bitterness and anger around them never seeing that there is more to life than that one moment in time that they are struggling with. What I love about Noah’s book is his courage to go on, to keep making his life better no matter what obstacles are brought his way. There is a way to overcome, you just need to be patient, diligent and continue to look for the good and be willing to fight for what you want. Noah I hope you continue with your journey of speaking and sharing your story and most of all being a life coach to all of us, because you are genuinely good at it. I hope we will see more books in the future too.

Noah Galloway was a young American who joined the military following September 11. In 2005, during his second deployment, he was injured in an IED attack, losing his left arm above the elbow and his left leg above the knee. Galloway’s book Living with No Excuses: The Remarkable Rebirth of an American Soldier chronicles his journey after losing his arm and leg, showing how he was able to overcome adversity and adapt to a new life. Living with No Excuses is a good book for someone who has seen Noah Galloway on TV (perhaps during his appearance on Dancing with the Stars) and wants to learn more about his backstory and personal life, including his two marriages. The book also features eight pages of color photographs showcasing Noah, his family, his army days, and his appearance on Dancing with the Stars. Throughout the book, Noah writes in a conversational style; while reading the text, you can almost hear his voice. The memoir also includes darker parts of Galloway’s story, including repeated drunk driving incidents and a brief stay in prison. Though he served his country fighting for America and is an American hero, Galloway also endangered people back home with his drunk driving. Noah also chronicles his struggles with depression and addiction; the sharing of his struggles will hopefully help others fighting depression and addiction. I enjoyed reading about Galloway’s various life experiences. Through the trauma that he has unfortunately had to endure in his life, Galloway has been able to be a positive force for others, showing that you can accomplish great things in the face of adversity. *I received this book for review*

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley for my honest review. The first time I saw Noah Galloway on Dancing With The Stars I wanted to know more about him. His biography was very well written and honest! He gave us the good and the bad of his life! Thank you for shining light on depression and it can affect anyone. Learning about how he conquered obstacles after his accident made me feel blessed with my life. There is always someone else who had it rougher than ourselves. Mr. Galloway was honest about his errors in life, his triumphs and his love of his family! I finished this book in one day since I could not put it down! Thank you for your service to our country Noah! This is one of the best biographies I have read in a long time! I don't think you will be disappointed in this book.

Noah takes you through his extraordinary journey of struggles and triumphs. The hard truth of the aftermath of war and the courage of a soldier that found his way back to a life he fought with honor to protect. Definitely a "must read" for all soldiers and their families and also for every American to understand what our soldiers sacrifice for the love of this country.
