Great book, but the formatting is all wrong in the ebook version. Calendars are "wonky". Gonna ask for my money back. :(

Overall, I like what's in this ebook. But it seems that care was not taken when formatting it for the Nook. The calendars are formatted so poorly they're nearly useless.

I bought this volume because I've been out of the Pagan sphere for a number of years, and I wanted to find out what people were discussing, what topics are current and what people are thinking. I don't know if you can find out all of that from a book, but I have been impressed so far with what I've read, in that it addresses topics of interest to today's readers. I was particularly impressed with Lupa's article about the attitudes present in the Pagan community towards people with psychiatric diagnoses, who are on medication, and towards people with physical challenges. I have encountered bias against people with psychiatric diagnoses in the Pagan community, and I thought Lupa addressed this topic in a way that will help people learn how to welcome people with various challenges into their circle, coven or community. For that reason alone, I thought the book was worth purchasing, but there are other articles on the ethics of weather-working, healing the healers, different types of magic for various occasions, coping with non-Pagan family members during the holidays and other topics relevant to modern Pagan life and culture. All in all, I would say this is a good book if you're looking for up-to-date information about the debates, problems and solutions present within the Pagan community today.
