Julia Bennett isn't having a great day. Funding for her video game is low, her day job is sucking her dry, and to cap it all off she's locked in a police station with the very handsome, extremely married guy she's been avoiding at all costs. Max Connor isn't having a great year. He's getting divorced, his best friend is squatting in his house, and his inappropriate crush on the IT girl is getting way out of hand. And that was before he locked the two of them in an evidence room. Surrounded by three decades' worth of drugs, guns, and floppy disks, Max and Julia are forced to confront the heat that lies between them with dangerous, funny, and occasionally toe-curlingly sexy results.

*received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review* AAAHHHH!!!!! God, I love this author and the things she writes. And okay, it's set in AUSTRALIA???? *fist pump* This is the second book I've read of hers, and it didn't fail to hit me in all the right places. Julia and Max (geez I can't think without blushing) getting locked in the evidence room is pretty hilarious, but that humor quickly turned to more-please hotness that I cannot describe without getting inappropriate... but I gotta say, it was freaking Moto Motooo (it means 'hot' 'hot'). Julia is an awesome woman with her quirky streak going on. I just about died the way this book started, and I totally wanted to be locked up right along with them with the EXTREMELY HOT things that went on. Max is like a dream guy with certain problems. His particular hangup wasn't something I could relate to only because- well, for reasons lol. But I absolutely loved the way their story was revealed, teasing me with a snarky IT girl and complex hottie cop-on-duty, slowly feeding me a tibit here and there until BAM the big thing was revealed. I was a little annoyed with Max because he kept breaking my- I mean her -heart but it was a good kind of hurt (damn masochistic problems). I'm glad this was as hot as Dangerfield's last novel, and it was just perfection seeing Julia and Max being different from her other characters but still having that deliciously kinky self-satisfaction of being all the colorful shades and hues of a Dom/sub and sadist/masochist. Wasn't too much emphasis on it, but there were enough hints to make this PERFECT-*cough* Really loved this book lol. I liked the (totally assuming it's) Aussie slang they used, the other characters in here like the cops and Ash- I LOVE ASH SO MUCH SHE'S THE GREATEST SISTER EVER -but most of all I loved Julia and Max's relationship. Their attraction to each other kept them together even when their own mistakes kept them apart. The flow was great and entertaining, the sass was strong with this one (as was Max's snapping wrists my God) and this was overall a definite recommended read. I NEED MOOOOORE.
