Overview

Emma Winberry is in her sixties. She has a sixth sense and talks to her Guardian Angel for advice. Emma and her significant other, Nate Sandler, are supernumeraries for the Midwest Opera in Chicago.Their friend, Delia Armanetti, is a singer in the chorus. Delia confides in Emma that she is not fond of her new daughter-in-law, June. Shortly thereafter Delia suffers a severe stroke and is unable to speak.When Emma visits her friend in the hospital she meets the daughter-in-law, June. Emma's sixth sense tells her that June is up to no good and resents her mother-in-law. Emma helps the speech therapist in regaining some form of communication.
When Delia is sent home, she suffers abuse from June.
June has a hidden agenda which spells trouble for both Delia and danger for Emma.

Helen Osterman lives in Homer Glen, a suburb of Chicago. She has five children and nine grandchildren. She received a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Mercy Hospital-St. Xavier College and later earned a Master’s Degree from Northern Illinois University. Throughout her forty-five year nursing career, she wrote articles for both nursing and medical journals.
