The AH-56A Cheyenne can be said to be the grandfather of today's highly successful modern battlefield AH-64 Apache. As the subject of Number 27 of the WarbirdTech series, the developmental history, progress and ultimate cancellation of this short lived helicopter program are covered in detail. As such many photos, diagrams, drawings, color section and disposition of the actual aircraft are provided to the reader. This book is primarily for those who are generally interested in the history of this particular aircraft or are in need of research, reference material for building a scale static or flying model and for those who are just genaral aviation buffs.
Another good resource book from the Warbird Tech Series. This one covers the mostly forgotten attack helicopter project by Lockheed. It offers an in-depth history into what made it forgettable and what made it memorable. Its a good read and a great addition to your military aviation library - this and the MiG-15 Fagot book were my first purchases in the Warbird Tech Series and I dont regret it!
