About the Author

New York Times and USA Today Bestseller/contemporary romance writer Samantha Chase released her debut novel, Jordan's Return, in November 2011. Although she waited until she was in her 40's to publish for the first time, writing has been a lifelong passion. Her motivation to take that step was her students: teaching creative writing to elementary age students all the way up through high school and encouraging those students to follow their writing dreams gave Samantha the confidence to take that step as well.

When she's not working on a new story, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, playing way too many games of Scrabble or Solitaire on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two sons in North Carolina.

This has been a great series to read and I am sad to see it coming to an end. I have become rather invested in the Blackthorne men and the women that receive their love. Each story has been written by a different author and I love the variety of writing styles. This is a friends to lovers story that drew me in from the start and kept me entertained throughout. Logan is the youngest Blackthorne and to me is a little lost as to what he wants to do with the rest of his life. His father is pushing him to decide on the position he wants within the Blackthorne empire and I felt for him as the pressure mounted. When Logan meets up again with Piper Stewart, the groundskeeper daughter and a friend from his childhood, he is shocked to see just how grown up Piper has become. Piper is back to visit her father and decide what she wants to do now that she has graduated. The attraction and chemistry between Logan and Piper is intense but the question is whether these two can become lovers without destroying their friendship? I loved seeing Logan stand up to his father and his support of Piper and her dreams, it was a swoon worthy moment. This is a well written, funny, romantic, passionate read which drew me in and captivated me with the strong writing. Add in the matriarch of the family and you have one heck of a great read.

Loved Logan and Piper! This story was sweet and funny and emotional and the perfect lighthearted addition to the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes series. It's a perfect friends to lovers story and it was very cool seeing the heroine - Piper - being a video game designer. She was the perfect character!

I really enjoyed Logan's book and the romance between him and Pipper. I haven't ready the other books in this 7 brides series but I'm thinking I need to. This is shorter than most books by Ms. Chase but as always you won't be disappointed.

I really loved Logan, the sixth book in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes, by Samantha Chase. Logan Blackthorne is the youngest of all the Blackthorne brothers and cousins, and the most unsettled. He moves from one Blackthorne location to another, never really settling down to one job and always entertaining women at each location . He arrives in King Harbor to handle the management responsibilities of the Vault, while Charles takes vacation. Piper Stewart, a video game designer, who has just received her Masters Degree, returns home after graduation, while looking for a design position in the video game industry. Piper is the daughter of the caretaker of the Blackthorne family estate in King Harbor. She had a childhood crush on Logan. Piper takes a job at the Vault to spend time with her dad, Connor before pursuing a career on the West Coast. With sparks flying between them, while working at the Vault, Piper and Logan decide to explore a temporary relationship while they are in King Harbor, before each one goes their separate ways. Graham Blackthorne issues Logan an ultimatum, either decide what he wants to do at Blackthorne Industries or he will decide for Logan. The chemistry between Piper and Logan is amazing. I love the plot twists and surprises that are obstacles that Piper and Logan must overcome. My favorite part of the book was when Logan stood up to Graham. Samantha Chase is a wonderful storyteller and I loved visiting with some of the other characters in the other books in the series. This has been an outstanding series with books that have been wonderfully written. I am sad that there is only one book left in the series, but I am looking forward to it and hoping that Graham Blackthorne will do all it takes to bring Claire home.

ARC for honest review with no compensation 4.5 stars received from L Woods PR Logan by Samantha Chase is book 6 in the series 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes written by six other amazing authors! Each book is a standalone but has an underlying story that connects to each book... Logan Blackthorne and Piper Stewart have grown up together, though they never really associated as he is the owner’s son and she is the groundskeepers daughter. Piper has always had a thing for Logan but knew it wouldn’t come to fruition now years later she returns to Kings Harbor to decide where her future in the gaming world lies. Taking a job at the Vault, the Blackthorne Bar while talking with her father about her future she see Logan again but he doesn’t recognize her...next comes the banter, sexual tension, laughter and each must find their true calling in life...will it be together or miles part?? Trey by Christie Ridgway is the final book in the series so hopefully we will find the answers to the underlying story of Graham and Clair Blackthorne...

Logan and Piper travel a difficult path before finding love in Logan, book six in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes series, written by Samantha Chase. Each book is part of the series but is a standalone story. Logan is the youngest of the Blackthorne brothers and despite working in every area of the company, and enjoying all of them; he just can’t decide which area he wants to land in for good. His father gives him an ultimatum - make a decision or I’ll decide for you. So, Logan heads to Maine for a few weeks to fill in for the manager at the family's pub/restaurant. His first night there, he finds himself attracted to one of the waitresses. Except he realizes she's the daughter of his family's groundskeeper and they practically grew up together, at least during the summers his family spent in Maine. Piper came home to make a decision regarding given the chance of a lifetime; joining her friends in creating a start-up video game design company. Although it sounds amazing, it’s on the other side of the country and Piper is afraid they might fail. She planned on getting sound advice from her dad not get involved with Logan. Logan and Piper share off the chart chemistry and their attraction is intense. Now if they can only find a way to communicate. Logan and Piper both struggle in pursuing what they want; Piper is afraid of failure while Logan fears being bored and disappointing his brothers. As their deadlines approach they need to make some decisions. Ms. Chase wrote a wonderful and emotional story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Logan and Piper the love they needed for a life spent together. I highly recommend Logan to other readers and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Logan is the baby of the family and so often throughout the book felt overlooked. Up until this book, each brother or cousin played Logan off as easy going, laid back, care free, etc...he is all of those things, but like we all have a habit of doing in our own personal lives, we forget what someone may be feeling on the inside just because of how they portray themselves on the outside. Logan may be easy going, but he is also sensitive and sweet, smart and never willing to give up. As the youngest Blackthorne life has come relatively easy to Logan. At least that is what his brothers and cousins would say. Logan is laid back, easily distracted, and has the charm rolling off of him to win over anyone standing in his path. Well, that is except his very own father, Graham Blackthorne. His father wants him to settle on a career and he wants that to happen ASAP. The trouble is Logan can't decide on just one career within the Blackthorne empire, he's worked in and studied them all. When his father lays down an ultimatum is this the chance to step up or finally walk away and try something new? Piper is home for the summer, having just finished her master's in game design. She has a decision to make, take just okay job opportunities with established companies where she would lose her rights to the game she designed games or jump on board and be part of a new company where she kept her rights, but with a company who hasn't made a name for itself, which is scary in itself. While she's home she takes a job at the Vault, a Blackthorne local bar, and runs into Logan. They grew up together and as one thing leads to another she asks him to look at her job proposal, as it turns out the man is not just a pretty face, but can their summer fling really be more than that? With big decisions to make for both Piper and Logan it becomes clear that they are headed in opposite directions. While their time home was fun, that's all it could ever be because Logan is a playboy who lives a carefree life, while Piper is a game designer with a carefully constructed life plan.

As usual Ms. Chase delivers a beautifully written romance that you can't put down. She gets right to the heart of the matter with Logan and Piper and why they are the way they are. She really shows us their strengths as well as their weaknesses. Logan is the youngest of the Blackthornes and wants to learn everything about the Blackthorne empire hoping it will make his family see he's not a baby. Piper who is the granddaughter of the Blackthornes groundskeeper has returned home for the summer to spend time with her grandfather as she contemplates a decision that she needs to make. When her and Logan run into each other Logan doesn't recognize her at first. You really need to read this charming story as it's everything you want in romance. This series flows seamlessly from one author to another. Each story is heartfelt and shows the dynamics of this family. I highly recommend this book and if you can the rest of the series it's definitely worth it. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of this book.

Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. Because “Logan” was everything I needed, everything I wanted, everything that’s good and right about a sweet and heartwarming friends to lovers romance. Logan and Piper are two wonderfully crafted characters, who find themselves at a crossroad in their lives, trying to decide what is next in their careers, when fate brings them together. Logan is immediately taken by her and doesn’t even recognize her. But Piper knows who Logan is, as she has had a crush on him for most of her life. Their first conversations are flirty snarky, and sassy as they work through the night together, until he finally is told who she is. And although Piper is aware of Logan’s reputation, she is unable to decline his smooth and suave advances. But these two soon find out that they have a lot in common. Piper is not only beautiful and smart, but a force to be reckoned with. Their chemistry sizzles. And soon Logan and Piper are helping each other with their career concerns. A modern day Sabrina-ish romance that is engaging, steamy, emotional and perfectly romantic and it delivers a sublime happy-ever-after with all the feels

This is the first of the Blackthorne books that I've read, but it certainly won't be the last. The Blackthorne family is huge and dominated by patriarch Graham Blackthorne, but not everybody is willing to do everything Graham's way. He's determined that his youngest son Logan will settle down and find his place in the Blackthorne corporate empire, but Logan isn't keen on any of the jobs available, so when he goes home to King Harbour to cover for the manager of the Blackthorne's whiskey bar, The Vault, he's determined to come up with a proposal he can live with before his father imposes his will and picks a spot for him. Piper Stewart has her own job dilemma to deal with. Her college gaming buds want her to join them in a new game design business in Seattle, but she's nervous about her relocating her life for a venture that might not work out and unsure about relocating across the country so she's gone back to King Harbour to talk things over with her Dad and to work a few shifts at her fallback job at the Vault while she thinks about her future. Logan is a classic girl next door story. Piper was the Blackthorne groundskeeper's little girl, too young for Logan to even think about in "that way", but now she's all grown up and the chemistry between the two is off the charts. The attraction is hot, the banter is clever and the romance is sweet and playful. Logan is a great read and a great addition to the Blackthorne saga.

I absolutely adored Logan and Piper’s story. Samantha Chase has woven everything I look for in a romance and more beautifully in this book. ‘Logan’ is the perfect heart-warming romance to snuggle up for the afternoon and get lost in Ms. Chase’s incredible ability to draw the readers into her characters and their world. I loved the banter and chemistry between Logan and Piper. With both at cross-roads in their lives, trying to determine which direction to go in the future, they never expected, or were prepared for, yet another factor in their decision process. I loved how they reconnected and grew as people and as a couple. I highly recommend ‘Logan’ and know you will enjoy it as much as I did!

One of the biggest things I love about Samantha Chase's books is the chemistry she writes into her characters. It jumps off the pages with Logan and Piper. I loved Piper's career choice it was fun to see how Samantha entwined it in to the story. Another amazing story by Samantha Chase!!

Samantha Chase brought us the sensational story of LOGAN! Logan Blackthorne, baby of a family of industry craves power and control... what he didn't realize he would end up craving was a romance with Piper, the little girl who grew up with him, who had grown into a beautiful, smart, powerful woman on her own merits. As Logan and Piper get to know eachother, this is steam, snark and a bunch of realization that surprises them both. Who knew Piper could be so business savvy. Who knew Logan could want something different from his life! This story is an adventure and sweet romance in one! Congrats Samantha!!

This is a beautifully written story with amazing characters that lured me in from the get-go. I am going to have to go read about the other Blackthorne men after this amazing story about Logan. I love Logan and Piper and they are just so good for each other. They may seem like an unlikely pair at first but as they hang out and spend time together we see how good they are and could be together. They’ve known each other for years but it has been years since they’ve seen each other and now there is an attraction that is something new for them to face. Both are back in King Harbor to basically find themselves and figure out where they want go with their careers but neither planned on the other becoming such an important part of those decisions. This story is sweet, sexy, witty, charming and emotional; all the things I love in a Samantha Chase book.

I truly enjoyed reading this book! Logan is an engaging, feel good & sexy romance. Great characters & romance makes the perfect read. Logan & Piper, are both at a crossroads in life. Where is the best place within the Blackthorne divisions for him to choose. She just graduated. Now it's time choose the best job for her & her future. I loved everything about the book! Logan ❤ Piper steal your heart from the very first pages to the last!!

Logan, the baby of the Blackthorne brothers, hasn't settled on a career within the Blackthorne Company yet. He travels around and fills in wherever he feels he is needed. He's temporarily working in Maine filling in for the manager who is on vacation where Piper is also working temporarily while debating her future employment options. These two are great together. There is quite a bit of humor and I loved their 'gaming'. Having several adult child that love playing games I could actually visualize their playing. I had quite a smile on my face while reading this story. I really enjoyed it.

Although all of the books have had the same premise, the Blackthorne men are playboys and are tied to the Blackthorne brand, Logan surprised me. Yes, he's a playboy; or at least he was. Yes, he works for Blackthorne, but not in a defined role. But I like that he was willing to stand up to his father and venture out on his own, while keeping everyone happy, including himself. Logan thought outside of the box and did not cave to his father's demands. I have a lot of respect for that. He has Piper to thank for challenging him and what he thinks he wants. How will he thank her for inspiring him?

Logan has returned home to Maine to help out for a few weeks at the Vault, when he runs into Piper. Piper is the caretakers daughter and all grown up. Logan is known as a player, Piper is only home for a short time until her business of gaming is off the ground, so what's wrong with a little fling. Which is fine until their hearts get involved. Loved this book!! Logan finally finds out what he really wants in life with a little help from Piper. Great characters with plenty of banter, romance and emotions that will keep you turning the pages. Loved Nana, always has words of wisdom to hand out. This is the sixth book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. But now I want to go back and read the other stories. I highly recommend. I could not put down until done.

Wonderfully written book, with everything a romance reader could want! I could not put it down once I started reading it, and read straight thru to the very end. When I heard about this book and read the blurb, I could not wait for it to hit my tablet. Sigh, I was right, FABULOUS BOOK!!! I love the way Ms. Chase got into the nitty gritty of both Piper and Logan’s lives. The way she gets into the guts of her characters. Her characters are real, with all of their strengths and weaknesses. Logan is the youngest of the Blackthorne clan, and as such is always thought of as the baby. Logan is the easy-going member of the Blackthorne clan. He is determined to learn everything possible about every single entity of the Blackthorne empire and believe me there are a lot of different pots. His family, especially his father Graham Blackthorne think he does not have the motivation to pick a career within the corporation. The problem is, Logan wants to run it all!! Logan is will be filling in for the manager of the Vault the family’s restaurant, when he goes on vacation. Logan realizes there is a new face on the staff, a new waitress, and definitely likes what he sees. When she comes up to place an order, he starts talking to her. Piper has come home to spend time with her father after being away at college for so long. She has finally graduated with her master’s degree in game design, and she is darn good at it. She has offers from several companies. The problem with working with them, is they will take possession of any game she designs, including the popular game she has already designed. On the other hand, some of her friends from college are creating a new company and have invited her to join them. The problem with this option, they have no business experience. So, while she is home for the summer she is working at the Vault, while she makes some decisions regarding her future. The Vault is where she runs into Logan again, and darn, he is still fiiiine!!!! And, he is hitting on her!! Sigh! Then, the balloons deflate, he asks what her name is. And so, it begins, the chase, Logan is determined to find out who she is. Then Charlie, the manager comes over and calls her by name. Piper!?! I loved watching these two reconnect, and first becoming friends, and then lovers. I really enjoyed watching Piper and Logan finish growing into the people the become. I do not want to give any of the story away, so I will stop there. I was given a copy of the wonderful book for my reading pleasure, and to give my opinions on what I thought of the book. I know you will love this book as much as I have, so what are you waiting for? Go hit that purchase button at your favorite retailer and start reading. Thank you for reading my review. I hope I helped you make the decision to buy and read this book. I would love to here what you thought of it too!

3.5 stars I have been a long-time fan of Samantha Chase. I devour everything she writes and is always thrilled when something new comes out. Logan is a little different as it is part of a series where each book is written by a different author. I have only read Samantha’s book in this series but from reading Logan I can say that each book is its own story. Logan is a story of a rich man trying to find his way in the world when he runs into a childhood friend and feelings develop. I loved how Logan didn’t recognize Piper when he first saw her after years apart. He flirted with her and then learned who she was. Piper played right along with him even though she knew who he was. It was fun to see the relationship develop and the characters developed too. They both had big decisions weighing on them and both needed the distraction of each other to find their ways. This story is a story that’s been told before, it was predictable, but it was fun. It was easy to read and didn’t require me to think too hard. I enjoyed meeting Logan and Piper.

LOGAN by Samantha Chase is the sixth instalment in the multi-authored 7 BRIDES FOR 7 BLACKTHORNES romance series focusing on the Blackthorne family. This is youngest brother Logan Blackthorne, and video game designer Piper Stewart’s story line. LOGAN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Told from dual third person perspectives (Logan and Piper) LOGAN follows the building relationship between Logan Blackthorne, and video game designer Piper Stewart. Piper is a recent graduate and has been offered a full-time position with her friends on the West Coast, a position that will see her gaming ideas come to fruition but Piper struggles with leaving behind her father, and the possibility that her friends’ business is less than ideal. Working the summer at the Blackthorne family owned restaurant The Vault, Piper will come face to face with the boy-now-man that she has lusted after most of her childhood and adult life. Enter Logan Blackthorne, the youngest Blackthorne, and the man with whom Piper will fall in love. What ensues is the building friendship, relationship and romance between Logan and Pipes, and the potential fall-out as misunderstanding, miscommunication, and Logan’s time in Maine comes to an end. Logan Blackthorne is ambivalent about his future within the Blackthorne organization. With the ability to do everything but choosing nothing in particular Logan hopes one day to sit at the helm of the family business but Logan’s reputation as a womanizer, and his indecisiveness as it pertains to the family business has earned our hero a less than stellar track record amongst family and friends . Piper Stewart’s new game design has yet to take off but working at The Vault gives Piper time to rethink her future, including the possibility of working alone, or with someone else. Rekindling her friendship with Logan Blackthorne gives Piper pause for thought, and the possibility of falling in love never entered into the equation. The $ex scenes are all implied. LOGAN is a story of family, friendships, revelations and love. The premise is flirty and engaging; the romance is sweet and passionate; the characters are sassy, colorful and energetic but their issues of trust set up the relationship to fail. LOGAN is a fast paced, character driven and inviting instalment in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes romance anthology.

There is only one thing that could make a Samantha Chase book any better….and that is writing with a group of authors, about multiple alpha males who all belong to a family and tell a complete, intricate story that makes you devour book after book. The series, 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes, is another multiple author series about 7 special men who happen to be brothers and cousins. They run an empire and all of the joys and problems that come along with that. Each book can be read alone but when you follow the releases, there are several underlying details that play out throughout all seven books. Logan Blackthorne has been the baby of the family. He’s tried to find his place in the business but nothing really holds his interest long enough to stick. Same with the women in his life. Little does he know that his old friend, the groundskeeper’s young daughter, has become an astounding woman and is getting ready to turn his life upside down. An amazing collection by amazing authors, especially our very own Samantha Chase. Don’t miss these stories. And we have another Montgomery story coming soon….plus we will visit Magnolia Sound again.

This is the 6th installment in this series and each can be read as a standalone. Logan is the youngest of the Blackthorne brothers and cousins and he is having a crisis of identity and having a hard time figuring out where he wants to settle as his career and feeling the pressure to make a decision. He has always excelled at whatever he does and right now he is back in Kings Harbor to fill in at the Vault. Piper Stewart is the caretaker's daughter and she has come home to work and visit with her father while making life decisions and who would have thought those life decisions would include Logan! What starts as a flirt turns into a friendship and then into a fling and soon into so much more. Just when Logan thinks he cannot take the pressure of making a decision with his life, he is push to make that decision. Loved this one! **Received this ARC for review**
