The second novel in a hot new urban fantasy series that reviewers are describing as "Packed full of action, emotion, and powerful writing!"

Fen is a half-werewolf who's lost her pack. All she wants is a home and an ordinary human life, which means seeking out the deadbeat mom who abandoned her a decade ago.

Her journey takes her to a simple small town that's serene on the outside yet contains a rotten core of complicated danger. A stalker, a bomb threat, and a rogue shifter keep her hopping, but Fen's greatest struggle lies within her own heart.

Will she be able mend her relationship with her mom and find a place to belong...and can she do so without risking her mother's life?

USA Today bestselling author Aimee Easterling's Alpha Underground trilogy begins with Half Wolf, continues with Lone Wolf Dawn, and concludes with Wolf Landing.

Fen left behind her pack to confront the family that seemingly abandoned her years ago. Leaving Fen insecure, untrusting and with a big hole inside. Along the way Fen and Hunter team up to save the lives of many Bloodling pups. Their bond grows stronger but Fen still keeps part of herself locked away. Misfortune befalls Fen as she finds herself the prime suspect of a criminal investigation. With danger lurking around every corner Fen has to work quickly to figure out who the real perpetrator is and why they are after her mother before it’s too late. I liked Lone Wolf better than the first book. Fen’s character grows quite a bit in this part of her journey making me like her so much more than before. I also liked how the relationship develops between Fen and her mother. The ending was just the beginning for Fen and her group. I look forward to continuing their journey in the next book.

Exciting and heartwarming adventure... This is the second book in the Alpha Underground series, and it is a wonderful, exciting, and engaging, installment that will surely capture your attention from start to finish. I enjoyed experiencing Fen’s continued evolution into a more confident and more trusting person/werewolf. Her relationship with her mother is a big part of this story and it was wonderful to see how past grievances were resolved. Her relationship with Hunter also plays a significant role in this story and, happily, it also matures into something with more substance. There is plenty of action, villainy, and intrigue along the way to keep the reader’s interest from waning. New characters are introduced, both werewolf and “one-body” (human) which will hopefully become regulars in this wonderfully entertaining series. I listened to the audio version of this book while reading along with it on my ebook and I think that whichever format you prefer, you will be delighted. It is easy to become so immersed in the story that you sometimes lose patience with the narrator and want her to read faster but that is true of any really good story. I found the narrator’s cadence and inflections somewhat annoying at times (too much emphasis on “I”, “me”, “my”…) but felt that, overall, she did a good job. The violence is not graphic, the language is not foul, the sex scenes are steamy, and the basic story is captivating. Another winning story from this talented and imaginative author. I am very much looking forward to more from this series.

I started with Shiftless and after that I bought all in this series. Awesome to have actual stories, characters with development and depth , interplay, themes that are more than just sex and shredding (get boring after a while). Aimee Easterling shows thought and desire to make captivating reading.

After I finished this book, I just wanted more. The characters are developing with each new book. I found the plot to be very interesting and it move along at a fast pace, and too soon the book was finished. I'm looking forward to seeing what is in the future for Fen and Hunter as they lead this pack of misfits.

I loved this book. I liked the first one, but this one was fantastic. I loved Celia and how she did her best to let Fen know she was sorry for how she acted towards her as a child. I also loved that Fen has started to trust not only her wolf, but Hunter. This book was a great sequel and you will love it. Her old pack members show up and a few more wolves will join her family. there will be some hairy moments and Fen will find a home for her pack. I can't wait for the next one. I can't believe there will only be one more. There seems to be so many potential stories to tell of Ginger and her girlfriend and maybe Cinnamon can find a girl? How about Lia? Will she grow with her wolf and find a mate? How will Hunter be as a father? So many stories to tell.

This is the 2nd story in the Alpha Underground books about Fen and Hunter both of whom featured in the original Wolf Rampant trilogy and who don't like to do things the easy way?!. My reading order was just right for me, which was more by luck than planning, with book 1 Half Wolf, then Dark Wolf Adrift which is a linked book which gives insight into Hunter, followed by Book 2 Lone Wolf Dawn and finished off with Book 3 Wolf Landing. As with all the books mentioned above there was a good sense of humour alongside a solid moral compass all accompanied by feisty but not overbearing females.

Book two of Fens story is amazing! This storyline dealing with all the new emotions of our main characters does not fail to stimulate our own emotions. I once again have been thoroughly entertained with Fen's struggle with who she is and who she will be. Hunter's steadfast love and loyalty of course makes us swoon. Life for these love struck wolves keeps challenging them yet once again this amazing author captures your attention quickly and doesn't let go! Spend the afternoon with Fen and Hunter and you won't be disappointed! I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Fast paced and always relevant, this installment is just as moving as the rest. Childhood issues are faced, and life becomes ever more complicated for Fen. See publisher's blurb for clues, but read this one for yourself! This book was gifted in exchange for an honest review
