About the Author

Jehann El-Bisi is a single mother who was trained as an elementary education specialist. Holding a Doctorate in Teacher Education and Curriculum Studies from the University of Massachusetts at Amherts, and as a survivor of trauma, she discovered the use of narrative, art, and storytelling, as powerful modalities for healing.As a "triracial" woman of African, European and Native American descent and ancestry, she is dedicated to multicultural and inclusive literature for children and adults.
