This is a great informational picture book about crocodiles written entirely in Spanish. It is filled with lots of information about how crocodiles hatch their young, how they hunt, and their habitat. Also included are interesting facts; for example, a crocodile's length will grow to be that of a medium sized car! However, there are few pictures of hunting and eating prey. Although the pictures are tastefully done, you may want to take a look at them before giving the book to a very young child. Included at the back of the book is a short glossary and, as an added bonus, a section called "Retrospectiva" (flashback) where there are a few added notes. The book was originally written in English, so it would be a great book to use in both languages for learners of Spanish or English. There is a lot of information, and the brilliant pictures will really help pull language learners into the story.
