Lost Lands, Forgotten Realms: Sunken Continents, Vanished Cities, and the Kingdoms That History Misplaced by Bob Curran, Ian Daniels

There are places that turn up in literature or in film-mystical and legendary places whose names may be familiar but about which we know little. We nod knowingly at the reference, but are often left wondering about places such as Atlantis, the lost land overwhelmed by the sea, or El Dorado, the fabulous city that vanished somewhere in the South American jungles. Other names are more evocative-Mount Olympus, the Garden of Eden, the mystic Isle of Avalon, and Davy Jones' Locker.

But did such places actually exist and if so, where were they, and what really happened? What are the traditions and legends associated with them? In the fascinating new book, Lost Lands, Forgotten Realms, historian Dr. Bob Curran sets out to find the answers by journeying to the far-flung corners of the world and to the outer reaches of human imagination.

Inside you will:
• Climb the high mountains in search of the mythical Shangri-La
• Navigate the deep swamps and jungles in a quest for the Seven Cities of Cibola
• Travel to the depths of the dark oceans to look for sunken lands such as Lemuria and Lyonesse
• Experience unspeakable danger in a realm rarely visited by men-the subterranean lair of Judaculla
• Discover the secrets of Heliopolis, Yggradsil, Hy Brasail, the Kingdom of Prester John, Llyobia, and the Hollow Hills.

Filled with lavish illustrations by acclaimed artist Ian Daniels, Lost Lands, Forgotten Realms takes you on a wonderful and sometimes terrifying journey, combining mythological and legendary tales with historical fact.

Name: Zora DeCoone Maeyanah.
Age: A little over 15 in human years.
Species: Zora is a tri-hybrid. Meaning, in this case, she is 49% Human, 50.9% Ocelot, and 0.1% Fae.
Appearance{Human Form}: In Sapie form, Zora is a regular short, tanned girl. Her hair is a soft amber that reaches the small of her back, with blended streaks oranges and yellows. Her eyes are a piercing lapis lazuli with miniscule spots of heaher gray. She wears lots of black clothing and tends not to be noticed.
Appearance{Ocelot Form}: In her feline form, Zora is a lithe ocelot. {No duh.} Her fur is a smooth ecru, with layered splotches of black, tawny, and olive. She has short whiskers and a white muzzle.
Appearance{Fae Form}: Though Zoa is not able to access this form readily, she is part fairy. At the rare event that she becomes a fairy, she is very pretty. She shrinks to about half a foot tall, grows translucent sky blue wings that sparkle, and is just more attractive. Her hair goes down to her waist and becomes a sharp platinum blond with peacock feathers woven into it. Her eyes become darker and more enigmatic, a prudent royal blue.
Other: She is prone to kleptomania in times of trauma. Just warnin' ya.
Crush: Nerp.
