I enjoyed this book a great deal the characters were well developed, each unique unto themselves and their stories woven together in a natural way. I especially liked the main cnaracters. Lizzie is thee main character. She is so real. Smart, funny, self-effacing, unafraid to reflect who she is on the inside. John is her Lycan love interest. Handsome, thoughtful, & reliable. I can see how this could be the start of a whole series of books, with the reader learning more about Lizzie and John, as well as their friends, Lycan and human, and discovering the magical world along with them. The only thing I did not like was the teaser ending. I found it extremely confusing and uninformative. It makes no sense to me. It may as well have been written in russian! jS

I love reading books that have new & interesting ways of presenting old ideas. A female lead who has magic but doesn't know it. A strong but not bossy male lead who's a Lycan pack leader. Good friends for both leads who dive in to help at the drop of a hat. Lizzie gets a magical book but can't read it...for two years! Suddenly a tall, handsome man turns, claiming the book is his. Let the intrigue begin! Kidnapped! Rescued...and the merriment continues. Cannot wait to start the next book! Thank you, thank you, thank you Kate for such a great story! I pray that the next book is just as good, if not better.

The cover shows a red head with straight hair...the main character has curly, black hair. Author think much? Also, sounds like each following book is heroine gets in the same trouble and gets rescued. That is not a spoiler read the first book and prolog to the second which is included in the first book. Again...ugh...

The story was okay. The author, however had to explain every single detail that did not need explaining. It was almost as if the reader was treated like they weren't smart enough to read between the lines or to understand subtleties. The plot was unique but that is as far as it got. The story just took too long and in the end you were deflated.

Good story line but it brings up bits and pieces and doesn't tell Not a bad start. Storyline sometimes incomplete other or brings up a plot point without further explanation.

Funny, action adventure and romance without getting into intense sex scenes. Very enjoyable book, with magic and shifting. Relatable characters.

No wonder this book is given away for free. Stilted and poorly written. I could not stand to read more than 60 pages, and I usually finish even the worst books. But after the protagonist dithered on in circles in internal monolog for the umpteenth time I finally had enough. I recommend not wasting time or brain cells on this one.

Why does every cover show a 17 yr old model on the the front. I thought this was a book for young adults, not what I wanted but thought I'd read the first chapter. I soon find out that the protagonist is a real 36 yr old woman. The story is very good and has story lines of interest to adults.

Good story, but the ending was abrupt and leaves you hanging.

Enjoy a different take on the paranormal world with this book. A blend of werewolves and magic that you won't see coming. Plenty of action, mystery and romance
