About the Author

JR THOMAS

I am husband, father, and grandfather. I live in one of the prettiest cities in the United States, New Bern, NC.
You might know an international writer who also lives in New Bern, none other than Nicholas Sparks.
Most of my career I have been involved in the Information Technology field. I officially retired in June of 2012. I realized that sitting on my front porch watching birds and squirrels eat all the seed I put out, would not be something for me to do the rest of my days. So I came out of early retirement and started writing short stories, memoirs, poems, and novels. I joined a creative writing class, and it is from that class my idea to write fictional Western novels was born. The class is made up of published authors and poets and is led by wonderful lady Mrs. Maxine Carey Harker.
My desire is to continue writing until I can no longer see the characters before my eyes or my fingers will no longer work a keyboard. i have found a new passion and that is for writing.
Since I live near the east coast and I am an avid boater, I intend to start a new series soon that will involve the beautiful outer banks off our coastline.

Everyone has a story to tell. It just takes determination and time to write it so others can enjoy it. My goal is to write at least three novels a year.
