Jean Oram grew up in a small town in Alberta, Canada and her experiences have inspired her Blueberry Springs series. But while Jean grew up in an old schoolhouse tending to the family's honeybee operation, her characters haven't! Well, not yet, anyway.

Jean loves to ski (downhill and cross-country), hike, camp, read, write, watch romantic comedies, and say random things like "Buckle your seatbelts, kids, Mama's driving!" in order to make her kids crack up.

She lives in Canada with her husband, two kids, and very large dog.

This story makes me feel all wishy-washy. I mean, I started out loving Simone in all of the books that have come before this, and even for the first little bit of this book I still loved her. Then when she and Josh were both on Nymph Island, she became someone I wanted nothing to do with. I thought she was mean, and bitter, and vindictive, and judgemental, and just plain horrible. I’m so glad she has such a powerful “a-hah!” moment in the end, because I was prepared to continue hating her beyond the story’s close. Josh, on the other hand, I loved from the word go. Here’s this strong, sexy, alpha man with a super sweet vulnerable side that’s he’s been protecting since his childhood. That first-responder nature combined with his ability to create beauty just might make Josh my new favorite book boyfriend. And Tigger’s letter to Santa is beyond perfect. What I love best about the narrator is her ability to capture Tigger. I received a complimentary copy of the audio from the author.

Simone has not played a big part in this series, i realize the hormone injections changed her moods but this was a hugh personality change, she was a mean woman to jason, i dd not like her at all, i know they were pair for the book but i was wishing he would just wlk away, they spent to much time on the island, i would have liked to see them in a different enviroment for awhile, i love jean oram and have read all her books several times but this wont be one of them,

* I received an ebook in exchange for an honest review. * I have read all of the books in the Summer Sister's series so far and this is one of my favorites! I love that the author includes a non-blood related sister in the series and treats her as if she were. It just goes to show that blood doesn't make you family. You don't have to have read the previous books to understand what is going on in this story, but it makes it more fun and all of the previous characters are mentioned in this book, so if you are going to start, you might as well start at the beginning. As soon as I opened the pages of the book I was instantly transported back to Nymph Island with Tigger and all of her fairies and it is a place that I wish I could stay in. I love the idea of an island cottage with very little connection to the outside world and author Jean Oram uses such amazing details in her story that I can easily envision myself right there with the Summer Sisters enjoying their island, their men and their families. The author does an amazing job with the storyline, the flow of her writing, and with the twists and turns that she throws into the story every so often to keep the reader on their toes. She writes so well that it is impossible NOT to get lost in the story and ignore the world around you! This book focuses primarily on Simone and her quest to have a baby....alone....until she meets up with JC after not seeing him for many years. The love/hate relationship that they immediately enter keeps the reader laughing, wondering and rooting for them to get together sooner rather than later. There is plenty of drama, secrets, worry and wonder throughout the story as well. My favorite character, Tigger, gets plenty of story time as well - anyone who reads these books will become instantly enthralled with Tigger and her fairies. Sit back, relax and warm up with some of the Summer Sisters - get this book and the previous books soon so that you can spend plenty of time getting to know each sister, you won't regret it! Add this to your TBR list, but bump it to the #5 spot as you need to put the other 4 books in the series ahead of it on the top of the list! Sit back, enjoy and have some fun with this group of characters, you will think about them and their stories long after you have finished reading them. ***Review has been done in conjunction with Nerd Girl Official. ***

Definitely recommend readiing this book. It is another great book by Jean Oram. In this book we have Simone and Josh's story. Simone is an honorary Summer sister. She has some preconceived ideas about who Josh is. But this hot smokejumper firefighter is not the insensitive, arrogant, always in trouble jerk she assumes he is. And then when she finds out what he does as a sideline, hoping to make it a business? More wrong assumptions. Sparks fly between the two and by New Year's there is Love under the Mistletoe. Really enjoyed this book and have enjoyed all of the books by this author I have read. I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
