About the Author

BETHANY CLAIRE is a USA Today bestselling author of swoon-worthy, Scottish romance and time travel novels. Bethany loves to immerse her readers in worlds filled with lush landscapes, hunky Scots, lots of magic, and happy endings.

She has two ornery fur-babies, plays the piano every day, and loves Disney and yoga pants more than any twenty-something really should. She is most creative after a good night’s sleep and the perfect cup of tea. When not writing, Bethany travels as much as she possibly can, and she never leaves home without a good book to keep her company.

4.5 Stars Oh my was this book extremely engaging! It most definitely left me on the edge of my seat with everything happening in Baodan's home! Even in the 1600s, the whole instalove scenario gets on my nerves but I pushed past that quirky aspect of the book and just continued to enjoy the story. I didn't give it the full five stars because while I like Mitsy's straightforward nature, she is rather annoying throughout the first half of the book. She was loud, rude and obnoxious. It took me a minute to find something likable about her and thankfully eventually I did. She was so very loyal to the people she loved that she just became annoyingly stupid in her actions, but by the end of everything I think her character can endear the readers to her plight. I'm curious to know how its going for E-o in the future! SR
