About the Author

Bethany Claire is the USA Today Bestselling Author of the Scottish time travel romance novels in Morna’s Legacy Series.

Bethany’s love of storytelling has been a lifelong passion but, convinced it would serve her best to follow a “conventional” career path, she tucked that passion away and went off to college.

Fast forward four years and about six major changes later, she realized the stories simply were not going to stay tucked away. Months away from graduating with a degree in elementary education, she finally realized writing was the only career that would make her happy.

So one day in the middle of a summer education course, she got up in the middle of class and walked to the registrar’s office and withdrew from the university on the spot. Since then, she has devoted herself to writing full time and is following her dreams.

Reviewed by Michelle Robertson for Readers' Favorite In Love Beyond Reason (Book 2 of Morna's Legacy Series) by Bethany Claire, kindergarten teacher Brielle Montgomery from Texas finds herself looking at a strange, very old portrait that looks remarkably similar to her own portrait. As she reads the description on the plaque, she finds herself being taken back to 1600s Scotland to the very place her mother has spent her entire archaeological career researching, Conall Castle. A 17th Century Scottish lass, Blaire MacChristy is forced into an arranged marriage and detests her future groom. The day of her wedding she fled to the basement of the castle to find herself staring a portrait of herself. As she reads the description beneath, she finds herself being taken to Conall Castle, only it's in ruins and the year is 2013. Each girl must adjust to the scary and new life style of a different time, pretending to be the other.  Bethany Claire creatively introduces readers to the power of witchcraft, and the power of true love and friendship. The plot thickens in book 2 of the Morna's Legacy Series as the author depicts 1600s Scottish villains, evil people, and their plans to destroy everything and everyone in their path. The methods of transportation, weaponry, language, mannerisms, attitude, clothing, and actions of the characters within the book are very vividly and creatively described - it is as if the reader is watching a show on television, not reading a book. Love Beyond Reason should be read after reading book 1: Love Beyond Time to ensure a better understanding of the characters and plot for the reader's enjoyment.

This sequel to Love Beyond Time is every bit as good as was the first book! One must, however, read the original book in order to enjoy the sequel. As the story opens, Bri and her mother are in the seventeenth century with Eoin, Bri’s husband, the laird of Clan Conal. Blaire is in the twenty-first century, and she is not coping particularly well. Bri wants to fetch her back in time, to reunite her with the man she loves, and she and Eoin come forward in time to find her. At the same time, Br’s friend, Mitsy, arrives in Scotland searching for Bri. The fun begins when Blaire returns with them. The book is a light hearted romance with a bit of murder and a dose of intrigue. The story moves rapidly, and the twists in the plot and the missed opportunities will hold your interest. to the end. The very first part of the book is set in the present, and I did not find it to be as interesting as events n seventeenth century Scotland. I really saw no need for Bri to tie up loose ends at home. This was a very small part of the book, and it did not prevent me from enjoying the story. This is a perfect book for a cold winter afternoon or a long day at the beach. After reading Love Beyond Tme, you will not want to miss this story!

Although a bit frustrating at times, this was a lovely read!

Arran Connell thought he missed out on love AND was afraid he'd betrayed his brother. But...he was wrong :) Morna has plans for Arran and Blaire MacChristy because she's one determined witch that won't let time get in the way of true love. While this can be read as a stand-alone book, I don't think you'll be able to read just one. Ms. Claire has a way of making you believe in time-travel, fate, destiny, witches and love. I recommend you start with "Love Beyond Time", book #1 in the Morna's Legacy series.
