In the wilds of East Africa, hundreds of years had passed since the savannas first began. The land had become dry and desolate. The animals were hungry, mean, and had stopped believing in their dreams. Until this moody Baboon discovered a new powerful secret — SHHH —
It began one afternoon when Baboon noticed Rhino desperately racing to eat a new patch of green grass, snorting, "MOVE, you stinky beetle! I'm starving!"
Rhino smacked his rump with a bump to avoid a pile of poop and smashed past the termite castle, snorting, "Ouch! You live in poop? You stinky Beetle! You did this!"
Baboon saw and couldn't help but sneer, "Wa-Hu-Wa-Hu-Wa-You bully. Don't blame Beetle. You tripped."
"So," whined Rhino, rubbing his rump in pain. "It's still that stinky beetle's fault."
Beetle took a thoughtful breath, rolled his cure-all ball of mud to Rhino, and stuttered, "If-if you put this on your rump, it helps with the pain. Plus, I-I think you're really BUFF, Rhinoceros!"
Surprised by Beetle's kindness, Rhino tried the cure-all ball. It worked! So, he gave Beetle a bump, saying, "Thanks, dude! That was really BUFF of you."
They shared big smiles. Then bumped together, "WE can! WE believe!"
YES! Rhino fixed the crashed castle, helped Baboon hollow his drum, and gave Beetle his yummy, new snack-from-a-stick, saying, "Dude, thanks to you, I know I can make a point to be kind anytime my whiny-bully-bound power-pout hangs out! My ROCKIN' HORNS prove COOLNESS happens if I do!"(Continues…)

This book is teaching us that being kind it is not so hard after all. The illustrations are nice. Thank you Netgalley for this book.
Love Big is all about learning that being kind to others really isn’t that hard to do. Set in the African Savanna, Baboon closely watches his friends. They have become grumpy since the land became dry and they became hungry. Through random kind acts, the animals learn that they might be hungry, tired, thirsty but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be kind to their fellow animals. It makes for a better living environment. The book is filled with full-page bright, colourful illustrations that bring the African landscape and the animals to life. The expressions that have been drawn on the animals are really quite something. At the back of the book is a guide for young children to read and learn all about how to be kind to others. There are also creative lessons too, making rhino horns and a lions crown, plus many more. This is a book that would work well in schools. It is a story that will make children stop and think and anything that encourages kindness is simply worth reading. It is beautiful the whole way through and thoroughly enjoyable.
