The story was cute, I guess, and the sex scenes were hot and well written. I just didn't buy into how they both fell in love so fast and for no real reason. Character motivation wasn't great here. It's entertaining enough for a beach read, but not much mroe than that.

My Summary: Victoria Bryce is a former wealthy socialite turned designer. She has her own design show, studio, and is creating a name for herself outside her family. When her co-host has to take a leave of absence to care for his sick mother, Aussie hottie Russ Rowland steps in. Russ has his own show in Australia, but he's run into some issues down under. Filling in as Victoria's co-host is just what he needs to kick start an acting career in the States. There is no doubt that these two look good on camera together. They create just enough chaos to keep viewers interested. Behind the scenes, things are a bit more intense. Victoria and Russ can't control themselves around each other and a steamy romance develops. However, both have secrets and as they surface, Victoria and Russ have to decide if their love is worth the risks. My Take: This was a really cute book. The plot was predictable, but sometimes that's a good thing. I needed something with a little fluff and steamy romance. I love watching home improvement shows, so I loved how that idea was brought into the story. SUPER cute! I'm going to start with Russ. He's funny, sweet, sexy, and endearing. Russ is the perfect lead male. I love how he complimented Victoria's character. Victoria on the other hand is guarded and a bit insecure, but once she let's down her shield is very likable. My only complaint is that I felt like Russ' moonlighting job really didn't need to be included into the story. (Not that I mind a little "tease". :)) They both had outside issues to complete the back story. Still, I enjoyed the book. It's a good pick for the approaching summer. I read it in one day. The story had all the great elements of a good Adult Romance: funny, sexy, and entertaining.

I really enjoyed this story.

I tend not to like romance books where the two love interests start out expressing their interest in each other by antagonizing one another right out of the starting gate, so I've deducted half a star. If some guy talked to me like that, I'd be like "later, dude..." However, once the 'design' part of the underlying HGTV-style 'Love by Design' home remodeling show starts and there are legitimate -reasons- for those sparks to fly, this book takes off into a light-hearted, fun, and terribly saucy read that will have you flipping the pages and giggling at odd, random moments that will leave the people around you wondering, 'what ... is that woman with the e-reader daft in the head?' It took me a couple of chapters to warm up up to the two main characters (and those chapters were thankfully brief), but once it took off, it was a fun ride (literally 3:-) ). Save a horse!!! 4.5 stars...

I enjoyed reading this story. It contains some entertaining characters that were enjoyable to read, and I found myself laughing quite often.     Victoria Bryce does not want to work with a co-host on her interior design show, so she is not happy when she finds out that the sexy Aussie Russ Rowland will be filling the spot she is not happy. Russ is determined to do whatever it takes to get under Victoria’s skin and into her bed. Victoria is determined that she will not let him get to her, no matter how sexy he is. Can they work together while the cameras are rolling? What will happen when the cameras are off?   I received an e-ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) of the book bundle Sugar and Sin that contains this title for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This story worked for me. When you think of any makeover show you immediately think of the hot hunky carpenter. This hot carpenter (Russ Rowland)just happens to be from Australia, but he is also moonlighting as a male review dancer, no one knows this. Victoria Bryce is a designer that is trying to get her business established, she is a socialite who has had her time in the tabloids and avoids the  paparazzi like the plague. She needs a co-host, and Russ has already hosted a show in Australia and is looking  to further his career in America.  They meet and there is CHEMISTRY. She tries to be the ice queen, because she knows she is  going to attack him the minute she gets alone with him. He doesn't want to give in either.  But the attraction is too strong.

Victoria's and Russ' sizzle set in the tabloid-fueled world of reality TV made for a fun hot read. What Victoria dishes Russ can take and vice versa. Fabulous chemistry, characters with depth and great use of jargon kept it real. The twists and turns on and off camera kept the momentum building throughout the story.
